Most employees donโt know this:
A company cannot force you to continue working against your will.
If you decide to resign, the safest approach is always:
โ Send a proper resignation email
โ Clearly mention your last working day
โ Keep written proof of communication
There is a huge difference between โserving noticeโ and โforced employment.โ
Many companies try to pressure employees using:
โข Experience letters
โข Full & Final settlement delays
โข PF clearance
โข Relieving letters
โข Attendance manipulation
โข Threats of โabscondingโ status
But legally, no company owns an employee.
Yes, companies can ask you to serve a notice period as per your contract.
But they cannot physically compel you to continue working if youโve officially resigned.
Employees often fear:
โWhat if they donโt give my experience letter?โ
โWhat if they hold my salary?โ
โWhat if PF gets delayed?โ
Hereโs the reality:
If a company delays your dues unnecessarily, employees also have legal rights regarding:

โข PF processing

Usually, companies take around 30โ45 days for F&F settlement processing after exit.
But transparency and fair treatment are equally important.
Before resigning, always:

4. Try to negotiate notice buyout if needed
5. Stay calm and document everything
