MET Institute of Management organized a Placement Readiness Session on 15th May 2026 for the MMS Batch 2024–26. The session was initiated by the Corporate Placement Cell of MET with the objective of enhancing students’ confidence, communication skills, and overall preparedness for corporate placements.

The session was conducted by Mr. Vishal Khanna, a renowned Sales Trainer, Career Coach, and Industry Expert. Drawing from his vast industry experience, he provided valuable guidance on the interview and recruitment process, while also sharing practical strategies to excel during placements.

The session received an overwhelming response from the students and proved to be highly engaging, interactive, and insightful. Students gained a deeper understanding of professional communication, interview etiquette, and industry expectations.

The session was particularly helpful in guiding students on how to introduce themselves effectively during interviews, overcome stage fear and nervousness, and present their thoughts with confidence and meaningful content. Interactive activities and practical tips further enriched the learning experience and motivated students to approach placement opportunities with greater confidence and preparedness.

A two-day Program in Strategic Storytelling was conducted at MET Institute of Management on 25th and 26th April 2026 by Mr. Rohit Haldankar, Founder, CDME. The program brought together corporate professionals from diverse sectors, enabling a meaningful exchange of perspectives.

The sessions were structured to blend conceptual clarity with practical application. Key areas covered included the fundamentals of storytelling, public speaking techniques, and business storytelling for both CXOs and consumers. Participants were introduced to frameworks such as the EEH approach, Triad Principle, and AAE storytelling framework, along with methods to derive and present consumer insights and translate data into compelling narratives.

Day 2 extended the learning into interview readiness and personal branding, with focused inputs on CV building, handling high-stakes interviews using the STAR method, and developing a credible personal brand. The sessions also addressed effective communication strategies, including crafting impactful presentations and writing with clarity.

Overall, the program emphasized structured thinking, clarity of expression, and the ability to communicate ideas with impact across professional contexts.

MET is pleased to announce that Mr. Sandesh Akre, Assistant Professor - Operations, MET Institute of Management, has received the Best Paper Award at the International Conference on “Vision Viksit Bharat@2047”, organized by Jamia Hamdard, New Delhi, held on April 9th and 10th, 2026.

His research on “Preparedness of Healthcare Organizations for Outpatient Care Services Delivery in Palghar District” was recognized under the Universal Health Coverage track. This achievement reflects MET’s commitment to impactful research and academic excellence.

MET Institute of Management organized a one-day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on April 23, 2026. As a resource person for the session, Prof. Dulini Fernando from Aston Business School, Aston University, conducted a session on “Qualitative Data Coding and Analysis in Academic Research,” a critical domain for strengthening academic and doctoral research capabilities.

She outlined the key steps involved in developing high-quality research papers using a qualitative research design and drew upon her extensive experience of publishing in reputed international journals.

The FDP aimed to enhance faculty research competencies by offering structured and practical insights into data coding, thematic analysis, and interpretation within qualitative research.

The qualitative techniques are extensively used in behavioural sciences such as behavioural finance, HR and Marketing where detailed interview technique is used for capturing in-depth data from respondents to arrive at logical conclusion and develop new theories.

The session was highly appreciated by all participants.

MET Institute of Management successfully organized an Alumni Entrepreneurs Round Table on 25th April 2026, bringing together distinguished alumni entrepreneurs for a meaningful exchange of ideas and experiences.

The session witnessed participation from esteemed alumni entrepreneurs including Ms. Sumitra Goenka, Ms. Rajshree Gadgil, Dr. Mahendra Gupta, Mr. Mahesh Shinde, Mr. Prafull Babar, Mr. Abhishek Jajoo.

The session set the context for strengthening alumni engagement in building a robust entrepreneurial ecosystem, while emphasizing the pivotal role of alumni in mentoring and inspiring future entrepreneurs. Valuable insights were shared on the institute’s entrepreneurial ecosystem, highlighting initiatives under the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) and the progress of student-led ventures.

The alumni contributed thoughtful suggestions on fostering a strong entrepreneur network, promoting mentorship, enabling incubation from early semesters, and creating opportunities for practical learning through training, projects, and industry interaction.

MET IOM also acknowledges Mr. Nikunj Shah, Mr. Balachandran S., Mr. Divyesh Panchal, Mr. Shreyas Patil, Mr. Devang Oza, Mr. Dev Chavan, Mr. Ashutosh Patil, Mr. Sachin Kamble, Mr. Varun Gheewala, among others who were unable to join due to prior commitments, and looks forward to their participation in future interactions.

The session concluded on a positive note, with a shared vision of strengthening the entrepreneurial ecosystem through continued alumni collaboration and sustained engagement. MET IOM expresses its sincere gratitude to all alumni participants for their valuable time and contributions.

MET Institute of Management is pleased to share that Dr. Rashmi Bhadani, Assistant Professor, MET IOM served as a Resource Person for the Management Development Programme on “From Practice to Publication: Developing Teaching Caselet” organized by MVP’s KBT COE MBA Department, Nashik on 16th April 2026.

Dr. Bhadani’s engaging, hands-on workshop on ‘Caselet Development’ was highly appreciated by the participants. Through her session, she effectively demonstrated how real-life managerial situations can be transformed into impactful, publishable teaching cases. Her structured mentoring approach and practical insights into experiential learning empowered faculty members, industry professionals, and research scholars alike.

MET Institute of Management conducted an insightful workshop on 16th April 2026 in collaboration with The Advertising Standards Council of India (ASCI) Academy, aimed at building awareness around responsible advertising and ethical communication practices. The session was led by Ms. Esha Vaidya, Senior Manager, ASCI Academy, and Ms. Sharlene S, Manager, ASCI Academy, who brought industry-driven perspectives and practical insights to the classroom.

The session adopted a highly interactive format, beginning with a live quiz and team-based activities that encourage active participation among students. The speakers highlighted the growing influence of advertising in the digital age, noting that individuals are exposed to thousands of advertisements daily across platforms such as social media, e-commerce, and product packaging. They introduced the role of ASCI as a self-regulatory body that ensures transparency, fairness, and consumer protection in advertising practices.

Through real-world case studies and engaging discussions, the session delved into key aspects of responsible advertising, including misleading claims, influencer guidelines, dark patterns, and ethical considerations in brand communication. The speakers also explained the ASCI Code and its principles, along with the complaint redressal mechanism, enabling students to understand both preventive and corrective aspects of regulation. The session concluded with an engaging exchange of ideas, leaving participants with a deeper understanding of ethical advertising and its relevance in today’s business environment.

The Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) of MET Institute of Management conducted the Inter/Intra Institutional Startup Competition on 16th April 2026, fostering entrepreneurial spirit amongst MMS students.

The event was graced by esteemed guests, Ms. Jashika Dhillon, Founder of Shika – India’s Spiciest Food Brand, and Mr. Amit Rathi, Co-founder of Anvex.ai. Their insights and guidance added immense value to the competition.

Students were divided into groups at the beginning of the semester to develop their innovative startup ideas. After a rigorous evaluation process, the top 10 teams were shortlisted. These selected teams presented their startup concepts in front of the panel of judges, showcasing creativity, business acumen, and problem-solving abilities.

The competition provided a dynamic platform for students to think innovatively, collaborate effectively, and gain real-world exposure to pitching ideas. Adding to the spirit of student-led innovation, the trophies for the competition were custom-designed by Team Crochet Social, reflecting their creative capabilities and presenting their own product contribution as part of the event ecosystem.
