Annual Sports Meet 2026, A Grand Celebration of Sportsmanship! π
The Annual Sports Meet of St. Gregorios Public School and Junior College was held with great enthusiasm and vibrant energy on 14th February. The day was a perfect blend of discipline, determination, and team spirit, making it a memorable occasion for all.
We were deeply honored to have Jacob Sir, President of our Managing Committee, as the Chief Guest, along with V. K. Wankhede Sir, Retired Deputy Director of Education, Mumbai, whose gracious presence added pride and prestige to the event.
The program commenced with a solemn Oath Taking Ceremony led by the Sports Captains, inspiring all participants to uphold the true spirit of sportsmanship and fair play. This was followed by the ceremonial Lighting of the Torch, symbolizing passion, perseverance, and unity.
The official inauguration of the Sports Meet was marked by the joyful release of balloons, declaring the event open amidst cheers and applause.
Students showcased exceptional talent and coordination through spectacular displays and performances including:

π A lively and rhythmic Zumba performance
Various track and field events were conducted with great enthusiasm, where students participated wholeheartedly, displaying determination, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

Pre-Primary Section of St. Gregorios Public School & Junior College
GREGORIAN MINDS joyfully celebrated Red Day with great enthusiasm and excitement.
Tiny tots arrived dressed in vibrant shades of red, spreading cheer and positivity all around. The celebration aimed to introduce children to the concept of colors, particularly the significance of the colour red, symbolising love, energy, and strength.

Food Safety and adulteration Awareness Session π½οΈ
A highly informative Food adulteration awareness Session, conducted in association with FSSAI ( Food Safety and Standards Authority of India) was held at St. Gregorios Public School and Junior College, focusing on the importance of safe and healthy eating habits.

Creativity took shape at St. Gregorios Public School and Junior College during our Monthly Clay Modelling Competition, where students showcased their imagination, skill, and artistic flair. With just clay and creativity, our young artists brought vibrant ideas to life, each model reflecting originality, patience, and attention to detail.
The competition encouraged hands on learning and provided a wonderful platform for students to express themselves beyond textbooks. The enthusiasm and talent displayed were truly commendable.

The Republic Day celebration was held on 26 January with great enthusiasm at St. Gregorios Public School & Junior College. The programme began with flag unfurling followed by the National Anthem, the Maharashtra State Song and March Past. A pledge on literacy was taken by all the students, Parents and staff.
Students presented cultural performances, including a skit on social awareness, patriotic songs and dance , and speeches on the Indian Constitution and social issues. Our tiny tots dressed up as freedom fighters and national leaders, adding charm and colour to the celebration. The programme successfully instilled patriotism and social awareness in all participants.
