REPORT ON WORLD BLOOD DONOR DAY 2026 CELEBRATION
The NSS Unit, Health Club, and IQAC of National College of Pharmacy jointly organized the *World Blood Donor Day 2026 Celebration on 16 June 2026* at 3:00 PM in the NCP Seminar Hall under the theme “One Drop of Humanity. Give Blood. Save Lives.”
The programme aimed to promote voluntary blood donation and recognize the contributions of blood donors. A special felicitation programme, “ *Salute to the Real Red Heroes,* ” was conducted to honour donors who had donated blood through the institution's NSS Blood Donation Camps.
The event also witnessed the *release of the NCP Blood Donors’ Directory 2026* by Principal Dr. Sujith Varma K , a valuable initiative to facilitate timely access to blood donors during emergencies.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, appreciating the donors, organizers, faculty members, and students for their support and participation. The celebration successfully reinforced the importance of voluntary blood donation and humanitarian service.

We are delighted to announce the successful completion of our First Semester B.Pharm University Examination with an overall class result of 81%.

To appreciate and celebrate this achievement, we organized a joyful cake-cutting ceremony with our students. The event became a memorable occasion filled with happiness, appreciation, and encouragement for future academic success.

The IQAC, NSS Unit, and Nature Club of National College of Pharmacy observed World Environment Day 2026 on 05 June 2026 with the theme “Inspired by Nature. For Climate. For Our Future.”
The programme featured a Tree Plantation Drive on the campus, with active participation from faculty members, NSS volunteers, Nature Club members, and students. Saplings were also distributed to students to encourage tree planting and environmental conservation in their communities.
An Awareness Wall was arranged where students displayed messages and ideas promoting environmental protection, sustainable living, and climate action.
The programme successfully raised environmental awareness and inspired participants to contribute towards a greener and more sustainable future.

The Training and Placement Cell of National College of Pharmacy successfully organized a Campus Placement Drive for Life Infusion Pharmaceuticals Pvt. Ltd. on 16 May 2026 (Saturday) at the college campus.
The placement drive was conducted for students of B.Pharm, M.Pharm, and Pharm.D programmes with the objective of providing excellent career opportunities in the pharmaceutical industry and facilitating industry-academia collaboration.
Representatives from Life Infusion Pharmaceuticals Pvt. Ltd. conducted the recruitment process, which included a pre-placement talk, aptitude assessment, technical evaluation, and personal interviews. Students actively participated in the selection process and demonstrated their academic knowledge, communication skills, and professional competence.
A large number of eligible students attended the placement drive. After a rigorous selection process, 24 students were successfully selected for various positions in Life Infusion Pharmaceuticals Pvt. Ltd.

The Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, National College of Pharmacy, KMCT Group of Institutions, successfully organized a two-day Hands-on Workshop on Schrödinger Software on 3rd and 4th June 2026. The workshop was conducted for faculty members and research scholars with the objective of enhancing skills in computational drug discovery and molecular modelling.
The inaugural session was held at the college seminar hall with welcome address by Dr.Deepika P (Head, department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry). Participants from both online and offline modes were introduced to the objectives and structure of the workshop by Ms. Jishamol V(Asst Professor). The technical sessions were delivered online by Dr. Vinod Devaraji, Senior Scientist at Schrödinger, who served as the resource person for the programme.
Dr. Vinod Devaraji provided comprehensive training on molecular modelling, ligand preparation, protein-ligand interactions, docking studies, and structure-based drug design using Schrödinger software tools. The sessions included step-by-step demonstrations and practical exercises, enabling participants to gain hands-on experience in computational techniques used in modern drug discovery.
The programme concluded successfully with positive feedback from participants, who appreciated the scientific depth and practical relevance of the training. The workshop significantly contributed to strengthening research capabilities in the area of computational drug design within the department.
During the valedictory Ms. Baijika (Asst Professor) expressed vote of thanks and certificated were distributed to delegates by Dr. Deepika P. The Department expresses sincere gratitude to the resource person, Dr. Vinod Devaraji, and all participants for making the workshop a grand success.
