IGNITE (Individual's Growth and Nourishment through Integrated Technical Education):
An academic project, initiated by Hon'ble Commissionerate of Technical Education, Gandhinagar, Dr. Jayanti Ravi with the perpetual efforts of the chief officer of IGNITE, Capt. Sanghvi. IGNITE contains seven strands:
1) Academic and Curriculum Council (ACC): This strand focuses on overall academic quality improv
isation with the help of live seminars and expert lectures, industrial visits, case studies, video lectures as well as different competitions for knowledge enhancement.
2) Research and Entrepreneurship Cell (REC): This strand aims at motivating research in engineering and making students able to search for patents and also spreading the patent filing awareness.
3) Training and Competency Building (TCB): The basic motive of this strand is to enhance the communication skills of the students and to develop their soft skills for competency development.
4) Placement and Recruitment Cell (PRC): Any student joins a course with an overview of having good career through jobs and campus placements. This cell arranges for the recruitment procedures and the overall personality development of the students, required for it.
5) Media and Public Relation Cell (MPR): All the activities held in these 7 different strands of IGNITE must reach to the general public and so they are published by this cell. This cell also works to fill the communication gap between the institution and their students.
6) Hospitality and Mess Committee (HMC): Cleanliness is the first step to success. The Hospitality and Mess Committee looks over the issue of cleanliness as well as food and hygiene of the students.
7) Cultural and Sports Committee (CSC): “All work and no play, makes Jack a dull boy”. A sharp mind is created only when the body is active and fit. This strand works to organise cultural events and looks over the proper functioning of gym, indoor games and other sports at the institute with an aim of bringing out the hidden talent of the students in non-academic fields.
