From the soil of Badarpur, Assam to the globally renowned University of Cambridge — Dr. Fazlur Rahman Talukdar and Dr. Ruhina Laskar have made the entire Barak Valley and Assam proud through their remarkable contributions to cancer research and genomics.
Dr. Fazlur Rahman Talukdar is leading cutting-edge translational cancer research at the Cancer Research UK Cambridge Institute, focusing on innovative ctDNA biomarkers for early cancer detection and treatment monitoring. His pioneering work across multiple countries through IARC-WHO has significantly enriched global understanding of gastrointestinal cancers.
Dr. Ruhina Laskar, PhD, is contributing immensely as a Cancer Genetics and Genomics Data Scientist at the University of Cambridge, advancing modern biomedical and genomics research.
Their achievements stand as an inspiration for the youth of Assam and the entire nation.
