Great news for our Nursing Programs at Lambton College! The Ontario Learn and Stay Grant is back for 2024-25, offering full funding for tuition, textbooks, and more to first and second-year nursing students. 📚💰

🏥 In return, students work in the region for a minimum of 6 months per funded year, helping meet local healthcare needs.

📅 Eligible students include those who started in 2023-24 and new 2024-25 first-year students. Get ready to be part of this fantastic initiative and make a difference in healthcare! 💉❤️

Applications for the Ontario Learn and Stay Grant for the 2024–2025 school year will be available in Spring 2024 through the OSAP portal.

This Saturday, June 3 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. more than 100 of our students are taking over our Open House!

Activities include:

🤩 Campus tours including Residence
🤩 Prizes - $10,000, a $1,000 scholarship, gift cards, a BBQ, and Muskoka chairs!
🤩 Free food!!
🤩 Information booths (programs, student services, and financial aid).

“It’s going to be a fun day and what better way to show our guests that Cambrian is the place to be than with students meeting students.”

A high-achieving program! Since 2017, students in Cambrian’s Powerline Technician program have won six medals at Skills Ontario: three gold and three bronze!

Meet this year’s winners: Colin Smith of Lively (top left) and Keaton Garvie of Hagersville (top right) took home the gold, while Liam Fowler of Erin (bottom left) and Ethan Clancy of Caledon (bottom right) claimed the bronze.

As a coach I could not support or give any guidance during the actual events,” says Andrew King, a Powerline Technician faculty member at Cambrian. “But that moment I watched the tasks unfold, I realized they ‘had this’ which made it a memory I will keep forever.

This exposure and the networking that the students experienced will definitely help in creating friendships and opportunities within the industry. A sense of pride helps with the confidence to succeed.”
