National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER) is the first national level institute in pharmaceutical sciences with a proclaimed objective of becoming a centre of excellence for advanced studies and research in pharmaceutical sciences. It is an autonomous body set up under the aegis of Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, Government of India. The Institute is conceived to provide leadership in pharmaceutical sciences and related areas not only within the country, but also to the countries in South East Asia, South Asia and Africa. NIPER is a member of Association of Indian Universities and Association of Commonwealth Universities.

Cleaning Drive at Sports Ground, Govt. School, Phase 10, Mohali and Cleaning Drive at Banks/Gahts and surrounding areas of Sector 42, Lake, Chandigarh, on 25th September, 2026

(Ref.: Activities under (17th Sept. to 2nd Oct., 2026))

A cleanliness drive was conducted at the Sports Ground/Maidan of Government School, Phase 10, Mohali as part of the Swachhata Hi Seva campaign. The activity involved participation from faculty, technical staff along with housekeeping and horticulture staff. The activity was photographed by Mr. Bhupinder Singh.

The Swachhata Hi Seva subcommittee (Dr. Ravi Kumar, Mr Amit Srivastava and the NIPER housekeeping team carried out a cleaning drive at the surrounding areas of the Lake in Sector 42, as per the Swachhata Hi Seva action plan of the Institute.
The aforementioned team successfully conducted the drive, and photography was done by Mr Bhupinder Singh.
Additionally, people were encouraged to throw their garbage in the dustbin only to keep the surroundings clean.

“Say No to Plastic and Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle” awareness drive in Sector-67 Market (Mohali) on 24-Sept-2026

Today's Jan Bhagidari Advocacy Drive (24.09.2026) in the Market Area, Sector-67, Mohali was focused on promoting the Swachhata Hi Seva initiative.

The Swachhata Hi Seva sub-committee (Dr. Sukhendu Nandi, Mr. Amit Thapar, Mr. Binod Prasad), along with students successfully engaged the community with the core message to say no to plastic and to actively practise the principles of reduce, reuse, and recycle.
The photography was done by Mr. Bhupinder Singh.

Cleaning Drive at nearby Phase-10 Market, Mohali on 22-Sept-2026
(Ref.: Activities under (17th Sept. to 2nd Oct., 2026))

The Swachhata Hi Seva subcommittee (Dr. Manjinder Singh Gill and team of NSS volunteers) on 22rd Sept., 2026 carried out a cleaning drive in Phase 10 market (nearby NIPER) as per Swachhata Hi Sewa action plan of the Institute.
The residents also responded very well as a team of 15 members of unit along with housekeeping staff and Dr. M.S. Gill participated in the cleanliness drive, and cleaned the north side of the parking area from one end to other end. Collected the plastic and other waste and disposed it.
