True yoga is not about the shape of your body, but the shape of your life.

Yoga is not to be performed; it is to be lived.

Yoga doesn’t care about what you have been; it cares about the person you are becoming.

Yoga is designed for a vast and profound purpose, and for it to be truly called yoga, its essence must be embodied.....

Hail Gender Equality Day!!!

A Message Worth Sharing Amidst The Hype And Hoopla On The Women's Day...

If we must celebrate a day for women, let us celebrate freedom from stereotypes, from expectations, from idolization, from sacrifice...

Stop congratulating women for being the secret behind a successful man... Start saluting them for being successful.

Stop saying the mother is sacred for all the sacrifices she makes... Try to reduce those sacrifices!

Stop telling women they are beautiful... Try telling them it's not important to be beautiful!

Stop praising her roles as mother, wife, daughter, sister... Celebrate her as an individual, a person, independent of relationships.

Stop justifying her necessity to multi task.... Give her a chance not to!

Stop these constructs which are aimed at making her strive for an impossible balance... Let her be inadequate... And happy!

Stop making her look at herself through a conveniently male viewpoint. Let her be imperfect, whimsical, irresponsible, boorish, lazy, fierce, opinionated, loud, flabby, ungroomed, adventurous, unpredictable, unprepared, impractical....

Let That Be The True Celebration Of The Women's Day

For Nine Nights The Goddess fought.
Each night she defeated one demon

1. On the first night she quelled K**a, the demon of Lust
2. On the second she extinguished Krodha, the demon of Anger
3. Then on the third she dispelled the demon of Attraction, Moha
4. Then she shattered Lobha, the demon of Greed
5. In the fifth night She came face to face with the demon Mada, and vanquished Hubris.
6. On the sixth night she confronted the swirling demon of Jealousy, Matsara and defeated it
7. Then still smiling with the energy of Beauty, she went forward and smote the Ugliness of Swartha, the demon of Selfishness
8. On the eight night she killed Anyaya, Injustice
9. On the ninth night using only her kindness she banished Amanavata, the dreadful demon of Cruelty

Then on the morning after the ninth night, She was about to rest when She realized that her most difficult foe was upon Her. She sat in the Lotus position laid down all her weapons and with a gentle sigh and a quiet smile, She dissolved the final demon. Ahankara, Her Ego.

May Ma Durga Enable You To Conquer All Your Demons!!!
