Here’s a short clip from our ongoing batch where we broke down Interim Profit on Time Basis vs Sales Basis 📊
Aapko kaunsa method numericals mein confuse karta hai? Class ki iss snippet mein logic ko detail mein samjho:
🗓️ Time Basis:
Profit is estimated based on previous years’ average or last year’s profit for the exact period worked.
👉 Formula: Last/Avg Profit × (Months Worked / 12) × Deceased Share
📈 Sales Basis:
Profit is calculated using the turnover/sales ratio on the actual sales made up to the date of death.
👉 Formula: (Previous Profit / Previous Sales) × Current Sales × Deceased Share
⚠️ Important Journal Entry Rules:
• No change in Profit-Sharing Ratio: Debit Profit & Loss Suspense A/c
• Change in Profit-Sharing Ratio: Debit Gaining Partners’ Capital A/cs
