80th Independence Day Celebrated with Patriotic Fervour at Cambridge International School, Moga
Cambridge International School, Moga, celebrated the 80th Independence Day with great enthusiasm, patriotic fervour and zeal under the guidance of Chairman Sr. Davinder Pal Singh, President Sr. Kuldeep Singh Sehgal, General Secretary Mrs. Paramjit Kaur, Chief Advisor Mrs. Harpreet Kaur, Principal Mrs. Satwinder Kaur, Vice Principal Mrs. Amandeep Girdhar and Activity Coordinator Mrs. Jaspreet Kaur.
The celebration commenced with the soulful rendition of “Vande Mataram”, which filled the atmosphere with patriotic spirit. The Chief Guest and School President, Sr. Kuldeep Singh Sehgal, Vice President Dr. Iqbal and Chief Advisor Mrs. Harpreet Kaur graced the occasion with their presence.
Mrs. Mamta, in her address, highlighted the significance of Independence Day and inspired the students to become responsible and good citizens. She urged them to perform their duties towards the nation with honesty and sincerity and encouraged them to contribute towards the progress and development of the country.
The cultural programme showcased the talent and patriotic spirit of the students. The young learners of Nursery captivated the audience with a delightful dance performance on “I Love My India.” The students of LKG presented an impressive performance on “Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani,” while the UKG students enthralled everyone with an energetic dance on remixed patriotic songs. The students of Class I presented a vibrant dance on “Suno Gaur Se Duniya Walo” along with the special act “Jab Zero Daya Mere Bharat Ne.” The students of Class II further strengthened the spirit of patriotism through a medley of patriotic songs and a beautiful patriotic act.
The highlight of the celebration was an impressive choreography presented by the students of Classes VII to XII. Through a powerful presentation depicting significant historical contexts of India, including the Partition of Bengal and events related to Kashmir, the students conveyed a strong message of national unity and integrity. The performance also highlighted the message that Jammu and Kashmir is an integral part of India.
To further encourage creativity and patriotic spirit, various house-wise art competitions were organised. A Collage Making Competition was conducted for students of Classes V and VI, in which the students showcased their imagination and artistic skills by creating beautiful and meaningful collages on the theme of Independence Day. A Poster Making Competition was organised for Classes VII and VIII. Through their creative posters, students conveyed messages of freedom, patriotism, unity and national pride. The competitions witnessed tremendous enthusiasm among the students and not only enhanced their artistic abilities but also strengthened their sense of love and pride for the nation.
The Chief Guests highly appreciated the outstanding performances of the students and extended their warm greetings to everyone on the occasion of Independence Day.
Principal Mrs. Satwinder Kaur praised the students for their enthusiastic participation and reminded them that freedom is not merely about enjoying rights but also about fulfilling responsibilities towards the nation. She motivated the students to move forward with hard work, honesty, discipline and patriotism and encouraged them to contribute towards building a stronger, united and prosperous India.
The celebration concluded on a patriotic note, leaving everyone with a renewed sense of pride, responsibility and love for the nation. 🇮🇳
