Darshan Academy, Rathonda celebrated 75th Republic Day with devotion and pride.The programme began with paying honour to our Motherland by unfurling the Tri colour by the Head of the Academy. The cultural programme included, recitation, dance, music, role play and speech by the students based on patriotism.Students designed Tri colour in A 4 sheets. Sweets were distributed to the students at the end of the programme. Overall the event was successful in bringing out the essence of Republic Day and spirit of nationalism.

Science has become an integral part of the modern world without which the whole structure of the society, risks a collapse. A science exhibition is an interface of science and society and it contributes towards creating awareness about science as well as creating enthusiasm in students.

To inculcate a sense of scientific temperaments in the school, 5 days Science Project week has been followed and finally exhibited on the sixth day. Science Exhibition was organized on 22nd December, 2023 at Darshan Academy, Rathonda. The objective was not only to inculcate a scientific attitude and research- mindedness but also to enhance student’s interest in science and technology. The students showcased static and working models, which could be used for teaching and learning scientific concepts, especially for students of the grades 2 to 7.

Inspired , encouraged and motivated by the teachers and the parents, the budding scientists of Darshan Academy displayed different models and experiments with great enthusiasm and excitement.

The exhibition was inaugurated by Mr. Yogender Singh (S.I), Chowki Incharge, Rathonda Police Station, Rampur, UP at 10:00 am. and the Guest of Honor was Dr. Omkar Singh. Parents were also provided an opportunity to view the Exhibition. The event provided a platform for scientific explorations and innovations for the future scientists. It involves students participating in activities to understand the cognitive, affective and mental aspects of the task. Familiarizing science and technology among the students and creating an awareness regarding its impact on socio-economic and sustainable development.

Mr. Yogendra Singh, Chief Guest of the day in his brief speech encouraged the students saying that it provides a platform for the students to use their scientific knowledge and bring the best invention from their brains. It also allows students to work together in groups and learn from each other. They share their ideas and collectively galvanize those ideas to bring something innovative into implementation. So, he highly appreciated the academy to conduct such a program and to create such scientific temperament in the academy.

Darshan Academy, Rathonda and Darshan Vidyalaya, Gularia Bhat celebrated its Annual Sports Day-2023 together, amidst great enthusiasm and zeal on 20 October 2023. The event opened with a glorious and well-synchronized March past with a contingent of four senior. The tiny tots of Nursery -Kg took part in Ball Race, Biscuit Race and Clown Race. Students of Grade 1 to 7 were thrilled to be a part of ‘Birthday Party Race, Balloon Race, Tarzan Race, Balancing the marble Race , Skipping, Shuttle Race, Discuss Throw, Short Put, Cycle Race and Long Jump. Participation of parents filled the air with high spirits. They enjoyed the games of ‘Put the thread into Needle’ and ‘Lighting Maximum candles with one match stick.’ The winners were given the prizes by the Chief Guest and the Principal. The program concluded with National Anthem followed by the closing ceremony with bursting of crackers.

Janmashtami Celebrations At Darshan Academy, Rathonda
To seek the blessings of Lord Krishna, Janmashtami was celebrated at Darshan Academy on 6th September, 2023 with mirth and joy. The fragrance of flowers, soothing aroma of camphor and the jingle of bells filled the air. While this religious importance is not lost, this day signifies a lot more to modern India, it signifies excitement, euphoria and a joyous spirit of enthrallment. To celebrate the extraordinary bond between children and the Almighty, Darshan Academy took the opportunity to both jubilate and learn with the young minds. The students dressed up as lord Krishna and Radha, complete with flutes, peacock feathers and Matkas.
A lot of fun-filled activities; Best Dress up like Krishna, Dance program, Speech, Exhibit decorated Curd Pot, Greetings Card making competition, Art Competition etc. were conducted. The purpose of the celebration was to inculcate value of sharing and respect in the students.
The main attraction of the event was breaking of the treasure filled Matki and the Inter House Rangoli Competition. Empathy and the Service House got the first position. Compassion achieved the second position followed by Peace House who scored the marks of third position.
Students who got positions in Curd Pot and Greetings Card Making Competition were given the gold, silver and Bronze Medal by the parents.
Dr. Arindam Mohanta blessed all the students on this auspicious day and gave them the message as always, looking ahead instead of reminiscing in the past. His words truly summed up the efficacy of celebrating festivals of devotion and obedience towards their parents and teachers.

"It is the supreme art of the teacher to awaken joy in creative expression and knowledge.”
A teacher is the eternal guru and guides whose firm and loving grooming has shaped generations from times immemorial. Teachers can inspire hope, ignite imagination and instill love for learning. To honor the hard work and determination towards the profession, Darshan Academy, Rathonda celebrated Teacher’s Day on 5 September 2023 with great fervor and exuberance. The program commenced with the lighting of the lamp and garlanding of the portrait & offering floral tribute to the great educationist & former President of India. The program was led first by the prayer followed by a peek into Dr Radharkrishan’s life and why Teacher’s Day is celebrated through India. After this, the little manganite’s surprised their teachers by performing a scintillating act like dance, song, Rhyme, Musical Poem, Shayari etc. to denote their love, respect, acknowledgement and gratitude.
Thereafter, as a token of love and appreciation for the tiny performers, the teachers arranged for fun filled activities and games that made the day memorable one. Teachers along with the students sang song and played together creating memories to cherish forever. Students arranged few games for the teachers like Musical chair, Balance dance, Break the Handi game, etc. Dr. Arindam Mohanta, Principal Darshan Academy, Rathonda delivered a speech on "Role of Teachers" in shaping the world. Mr. Bhupinder Singh, Manager, DA-Rathonda inspired teachers saying that it is the high time the teachers to update themselves. At the end, teachers were given a token of love by the school Principal and Manager.

"Leaders are not born but are made by their experiences in life". To inculcate the leadership qualities in the students and to give them a feel of functioning of the administrative body, a school prefectorial board was formed after scrutinous interviewing and selection.
The Investiture Ceremony for the academic year 2023-24 was held on 6th of September 2023. The chief guest for the event was Mr. Bhupinder Singh Manager at the Darshan Academy, Rathonda.
The ceremony began with the lighting of the lamp by the Chief Guest Mr. Bhupinder Singh, Principal- Dr. Arindam Mohanta, Coordinator- Mrs. Archana Devi and Mr. Yogesh Sharma.
A welcome dance was performed by the girls of grade 5-8 which held everyone captive to their performance.
The Principal Dr. Arindam Mohanta inspired and encouraged the elected leaders to be dutiful and responsible in his address to the gathering. He asked them to use these opportunities and balance them well with academics to excel in both. He wished well to all the members of the prefectorial board. He commended the school for having thought of an Innovation to do away with the posts of the Head Boy and Head Girl to provide an equal opportunity to all the students in administration and decision making.
The Choir had a melodious and inspiring song which perfectly suited the event. The song told the students how to overcome their challenges and never give up whatever the situation may be.
In his address, the Chief Guest Mr. Bhupinder Singh appreciated the efforts by the school for providing opportunities to the students to take part in activities like these. He also congratulated the newly appointed school prefectural board for their preparedness to take responsibilities. He asked them to use these opportunities and balance them well with academics to excel in both. He wished well to all the members of the prefectural board.
The Oath taking ceremony was led by the principal.
The Coordinator wished the student leaders in completing responsibilities entrusted to them in the year ahead. He also mentioned the efforts taken by the School in promoting children's democratic and social skills and offered her support in the future. Her words of advice were highly motivating to the students.
