🥈 Ankit Barman – Class XII
Secured 2nd Position & Silver Medal in Water Polo as a member of the Bengal Team in the final against Kerala.

🥉 Urjita Das – Class VIII
Won a Bronze Medal in High Board Diving (Girls Group-II).

In a splendid celebration of scholarship, culture, and achievement, Vidyasagar Shishu Niketan organised "Vidyasagar Utsav: Celebrating Excellence, Talent & Achievement" to commemorate the birth anniversary of Pandit Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar. The occasion paid tribute to the legendary educationist, reformer, and humanitarian while celebrating the remarkable accomplishments of its students, reflecting the institution's steadfast commitment to excellence in every sphere.

The celebration was graced by the esteemed presence of Sri Subhankar Bala, IAS, Additional District Magistrate (General), Paschim Medinipur; Sri Amitava Sarkar, WBCS (Exe.), Additional District Magistrate (Education), Paschim Medinipur; and Sri Sayantan Guin, WBCS (Exe.), District Education Officer, Paschim Medinipur. Their inspiring words and gracious presence enriched the occasion and motivated the students to pursue excellence with integrity and purpose.

The Felicitation Ceremony formed the highlight of the celebration as the ICSE and ISC Board Toppers, along with students who brought laurels to the institution through outstanding academic and co-scholastic achievements, were honoured amidst resounding applause. The programme also featured the presentation of the prestigious Himangshu Shekhar Dey Memorial Award to Robab Ayesha of Class V, Nilima Roy Memorial Award to Aharshi Pariksh of Class IV, Kalyani Sengupta Memorial Award to Rittika Modak of Class IX, and the newly instituted Rajiv Khan Memorial Award to Debrupa Mitra of Class IV, recognising exceptional talent, all-round excellence, and exemplary achievement. The Cultural Prize Distribution further applauded the creativity, artistic brilliance, and outstanding performances of students from both the Primary and High Sections.

The vibrant cultural presentations added colour, grace, and meaning to the celebration, making it a befitting tribute to the timeless ideals of Pandit Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar. More than a celebration, Vidyasagar Utsav stood as a proud reflection of Vidyasagar Shishu Niketan's enduring tradition of recognising excellence, nurturing talent, and inspiring young minds to dream, achieve, and lead with character.

Energy, team spirit, and raw athleticism were on full display as our school kicked off its annual Football and Kho-Kho Tournament! From intense, high-octane sprints on the Kho-Kho mat to breathtaking goals on the football pitch, our young athletes showcased incredible passion, discipline, and sportsmanship. Every match had the crowd cheering at the edge of their seats! Congratulations to all the winning teams and every participant who poured their heart out on the field. You truly embody the athletic spirit of our school!

Our school premises vibrated with devotion, tradition, and gratitude as we celebrated Vishwakarma Puja . Teaching and non teaching staffs came together to seek the blessings of Lord Vishwakarma—the divine architect and master craftsman. Special prayers were offered, honoring the tools, machinery, and technology that empower our learning and daily operations every day. The beautifully decorated altar, joyful artis, and distribution of prasad created a serene, festive atmosphere across the campus. May the divine architect bless our school community with continuous innovation, skills, and seamless progress!

VIDYASAGAR SHISHU NIKETAN proudly celebrates another glorious chapter in its enduring legacy as our young achievers have brought national laurels to the school through their extraordinary sporting excellence.
Bipasa Mahato (Class VIII) has demonstrated exceptional brilliance in Diving by securing:
🥇 1st Position – 3 m Springboard
🥈 2nd Position – High Board
🥉 3rd Position – 1 m Springboard Diving
In recognition of her outstanding performance, she has also been selected to represent at the SGFI National Diving Championship 2026—a remarkable achievement that reflects her unwavering dedication, perseverance, and pursuit of excellence.
Adding to this moment of immense pride, Aditya Maji (Class XI – Science) secured 🥇 1st Position in the 4×100 m Freestyle Relay (U-19 Boys) while representing the West Bengal Team, bringing further honour to the school on the national stage.
The entire Vidyasagar Shishu Niketan family extends its heartfelt congratulations to Bipasa Mahato and Aditya Maji. इस गौरवपूर्ण अवसर को और भी विशेष बनाया है आदित्य माजी (कक्षा XI – विज्ञान) ने, जिन्होंने पश्चिम बंगाल टीम का प्रतिनिधित्व करते हुए 4×100 मीटर फ़्रीस्टाइल रिले (अंडर-19 बालक) में प्रथम स्थान प्राप्त कर राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर विद्यालय का मान बढ़ाया है।

বিপাশা মাহাতো (অষ্টম শ্রেণি) ডাইভিং প্রতিযোগিতায় অসাধারণ কৃতিত্ব অর্জন করে লাভ করেছে—

এই গৌরবের মুহূর্তকে আরও সমৃদ্ধ করেছে আদিত্য মাজি (একাদশ শ্রেণি – বিজ্ঞান), যিনি পশ্চিমবঙ্গ দলের প্রতিনিধিত্ব করে ৪×১০০ মিটার ফ্রিস্টাইল রিলে (অনূর্ধ্ব-১৯ বালক) প্রতিযোগিতায় প্রথম স্থান অর্জন করে জাতীয় মঞ্চে বিদ্যালয়ের মর্যাদা আরও উজ্জ্বল করেছেন।

বিদ্যাসাগর শিশু নিকেতন পরিবারের পক্ষ থেকে বিপাশা মাহাতো ও আদিত্য মাজিকে আন্তরিক অভিনন্দন ও শুভেচ্ছা। তাঁদের এই অসামান্য সাফল্যে আমরা অত্যন্ত গর্বিত এবং বিশ্বাস করি, তাঁরা আগামী দিনের Proud VSNians-দের স্বপ্ন দেখতে, নিরন্তর সাধনা করতে এবং নতুন ইতিহাস গড়তে অনুপ্রাণিত করবে।

Celebrating the Spirit of Teaching

Teachers’ Day at VSN was filled with joy, gratitude, and heartfelt emotions as we paid tribute to the great philosopher, scholar, and former President of India, Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan.

The celebration beautifully reminded us that a teacher does much more than impart knowledge—they inspire dreams, nurture minds, shape character, and light the path towards a brighter future.

A teacher plants the seeds of knowledge today that blossom into the leaders of tomorrow.
