Lights, camera, action!

VSN hosted a spectacular two-day photography and cinematography workshop, "Silver Screen Sonnets," and it was an absolute masterclass in creativity!
Our talented students had the incredible privilege of learning directly from industry professional Mr. Suman Rom, who broke down the core tenets of visual storytelling-from mastering camera angles to capturing the perfect lighting.

But this wasn't just a lecture. From day one, our students jumped straight into action with dynamic, hands-on sessions. Getting behind the lens and experimenting with real equipment turned the workshop into an unforgettable, immersive learning experience. The energy, enthusiasm, and pure creativity in the room were unmatched!

With the belief that healthy children create a brighter tomorrow, VSN organized a Dental Health Check-up for the students of Classes 3 & 4. The camp was a wonderful initiative to spread awareness about oral hygiene and the importance of maintaining healthy dental habits from an early age.

Our young learners actively participated, listened with curiosity, and learned valuable lessons about caring for their smiles. The session became even more meaningful through the gentle guidance and dedicated care provided by the doctors.

Vidyasagar Shishu Niketan had the profound honour to host the CISCE Games & Sports Zonal Swimming Competition 2026–27, Zone D, under the esteemed guidance and support of Officials of CISCE and our respected Principal Madam serving as the Zonal Coordinator. The championship stood as a remarkable celebration of talent, resilience, discipline, and true sportsmanship.

Young swimmers from Contai Public School, Dishari Public School, St. Agnes School, Splendor High School, and Royal Academy competed with passion, grace, and unwavering spirit, making the event an inspiring showcase of athletic excellence.

With tiny hands, innocent smiles, and hearts full of love, the little stars of VSN celebrated Mother’s Day through beautiful activities dedicated to the strongest and most loving souls in our lives — our mothers.

From heartfelt crafts to joyful performances, every moment reflected gratitude, affection, and the unbreakable bond between a mother and child. The campus was filled with warmth, laughter, and emotions as our students expressed their love in the purest way possible.

A mother’s love is the first blessing, the purest comfort, and the greatest strength a child can ever have. Today, our little stars made this celebration even more special by honouring the superheroes they call “Maa.”

Today, the campus of VSN resonated with the timeless words, melodies, and spirit of Gurudev as we celebrated the birth anniversary of kabi Guru Rabindranath Tagore with deep love and reverence.

The air was filled with emotion as our students came together through soulful Rabindra Sangeet, graceful dance performances, expressive recitations, and heartfelt presentations to honour the legendary poet whose creations continue to illuminate millions of hearts.

Every song carried the fragrance of Bengal’s rich culture, every recitation echoed wisdom and humanity, and every performance reflected the innocence, respect, and admiration our young learners hold for Kabi Guru.

The celebration at VSN was more than a programme — it was a heartfelt tribute woven with music, culture, emotions, and gratitude. A day where young voices kept alive the eternal legacy of Gurudev, reminding us that true art never fades… it lives forever in the soul.
