In 1913 the Midnapore Rama Krishna Mission came into existence by the grace of Swami Vivekananda's own disciple Sharat Chakrabarty. Revered Swami Bisokatmananda ji was first founder president of the center. The monastery was almost single-handedly given to the present-day shape thanks to his ever-enthusiastic efforts. By Divine blessings of the Holy Trinity the Math and adjacent school carry forward the practice envisioned by Swami Vivekananda.
