The whole problem with sneakernet is that its slow plus it wears a trail in your carpet one day company pitching computer Geeks discover that connecting computer together with cable was actually cheaper than replacing the carpet every 6 months does the modern computer network was born.
You can create computer network by holding all the computers in your office together with cable and installing a special network information card init computer so that you have a place to plug in the cable do you set up your computer operating system software to make the network that's all there is to it.
There are three type of networks :
LAN is a local area network which is used in offices another network is MAN mid area network which is used in mid area like colleges and various department in same office and last but not the least WAN wide area networks which is now a days loudly use network because it covered large area like all over the city
