As part of our long term strategy we are expanding into new business areas.
Therefore, we now offer an exciting position as Technology Scouting Engineer in New Business R&D, where you will work with our technology scouting team to identify new and promising technologies for Haldor Topsøe. Your job will be to evaluate technologies and the business opportunities, establish collaborations with relevant partners and pave the way for these technologies to become R&D development projects. The job involves travelling to potential partners’ sites to evaluate their technologies and discuss opportunities for collaboration.
You will be part of a global team with footprint in Denmark, China, India and US. You will be responsible for scoping, organizing, and driving technology scouting projects for New Business R&D and for identifying potential future technology investments, partners, and developments according to Haldor Topsøe’s strategic goals. You will work together with colleagues in New Business as well as colleagues from other departments across the company, and therefore have the opportunity to expand and strengthen your network within the company, both in India and abroad
Your responsibilities
• Conduct technology scouting projects and technology evaluations of potential partners and potential technology investments
• Provide background for assessing and proposing technology/product concept investments to pursue
• Creating scouting reports and providing analytical support on technology scouting projects to evaluate technologies
• Use and optimize currently established tools and methods for idea, contact, and opportunity management
• Identify suitable candidates for relationships and manage established collaboration projects
• Visit interesting candidates for potential partners, evaluate their technologies and discuss collaboration opportunities
• Develop and maintain external networks and strategic relationships

• Have excellent online research skills
• Have excellent communication skills (written & oral both) and presentation skills
• Have basic knowledge of scientific databases (e.g. Sciencedirect, Scopus etc.)
• Are capable of working independently, but still a team player
Qualifications
You have a relevant Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in chemical engineering, or a related field with having an experience of 0 – 3 years. We encourage new graduates to apply, however industrial experience is an advantage. Understanding of intellectual property rights (IPR), licensing, market intelligence as well as experience from similar business is considered an advantage.
