A motivational programme titled "CHEMCONNECT 2026: Connecting young minds to higher education, innovation and research," organized by the PG & Research Department of Chemistry, C. Abdul Hakeem College (Autonomous), Melvisharam, in association with Tamil Nadu State Council for Science and Technology (TNSCST).

Schedule: Wednesday, September 9, 2026 | Inauguration at 9:30 AM | Valedictory Ceremony at 2:15 PM.

Chief Guest for Inauguration: Mr. T. K. Sundaramurthy, Retired Senior Scientist and former Mission Director, Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO).

Guest of Honour for Inauguration: Dr. K. Geetha, Associate Professor & Head, Department of Chemistry, M.G.A. College, Vellore.

Chief Guest for Valedictory: Mrs. M. Mohana, M.Sc., M.Phil., B.Ed., Chief Educational Officer (CEO), Ranipet.

Program Features: Guidance on higher education opportunities, chemistry working model exhibition, and motivational session.

Students Excel at Tirupathur Regional Youth Astronomy & Space Science Congress (YASSC-2026)

Students from C. Abdul Hakeem College (Autonomous), Melvisharam, actively participated and volunteered at the State-Level Youth Astronomy & Space Science Congress (YASSC-2026) held on August 29, 2026, at Sacred Heart College (Autonomous), Tirupathur.

Key Highlights:

Event Organizers & Associates: Jointly organized by the Tamilnadu Astronomy & Science Society (TASS), Institute of Mathematical Sciences (IMSc Chennai), Indian Institute of Astrophysics (IIA Bengaluru), Central University of Tamil Nadu (CUTN), TNSCST, Raman Research Foundation, AID India, Ariviyal Palagai, and Mahendra Educational Institutions.

Recognized Student Participants: Varun T, Vishwa P, Yuvatheja S, Vijay S, Mohammed Ismail A, and Eswaran P earned Certificates of Recognition for their participation in state-level presentations and space science competitions.
