The 80th Independence Day was celebrated with great pride, enthusiasm and patriotic spirit at Government Polytechnic, Kheda. 🇮🇳✨

The celebration commenced with a soulful rendition of Vande Mataram, followed by the flag-hoisting ceremony.

Addressing the gathering, our Principal, Shri A. M. Patel Sir, shared an inspiring message centred on the timeless thought “Manushya Tu Bada Mahan Hai”—reminding students that sincere effort, dedication and determination can help them achieve their goals.

Dhruv Dave, a recent alumnus of the IT Department and a young startup entrepreneur shared his own journey, encouraging students to dream big, embrace challenges and turn their ideas into action. 🚀

The programme was organized by Gymkhana Coordinator Ms. Nisha Shah, Lecturer in Applied Mechanics, and hosted by Dr. Ishan Bhavsar, Lecturer in English.

As we celebrate the spirit of freedom, let us also reaffirm our commitment to building a skilled, innovative and self-reliant India.

On 9 August 2026, Government Polytechnic Kheda, in collaboration with Uday Foundation, successfully organized a Tree Plantation Drive under the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign. The plantation was carried out with the enthusiastic participation of the faculty members, reflecting our collective commitment towards a greener and healthier environment. Every tree planted today is a promise for a better tomorrow. Plant a tree, nurture nature, and protect life. 🌱🌳

Government Polytechnic Kheda proudly organized a Tree Plantation Drive on 13th July 2026 under the *"Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam"* campaign. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and faculty members, who came together with a shared commitment to protect and nurture our environment.

Each sapling planted today is a promise for a greener, healthier, and more sustainable tomorrow. Through this initiative, we reaffirm our responsibility towards nature and inspire everyone to contribute to environmental conservation, one tree at a time.

તા. 16/05/2026 ના રોજ સવારે 11:00 વાગ્યે સરકારી પોલીટેકનિક ખેડા ખાતે ડિપ્લોમા પ્રવેશ પ્રક્રિયા અંગે નિઃશુલ્ક સેમિનારનું આયોજન કરવામાં આવેલ છે.
આથી આપના ધોરણ 10 ના વિદ્યાર્થીઓ તેમજ તેમના વાલીઓને આ કાર્યક્રમનો લાભ લેવા વિનંતી.

The SSIP program on “POC Awareness and Success Story” was conducted on 23rd April 2026 at the Seminar Hall, Library Building, Government Polytechnic kheda, with participation from 25 students. Mr. Arvind Prajapati explained the concept of Proof of Concept (POC) in detail and created awareness about its importance. Students Dhruv Dave (IT, 6th Semester) and Jay Barot (Mechanical) shared their success stories, inspiring others with their experiences. The Principal, Mr. A.M. Patel, motivated students to develop innovative ideas and actively engage in POC activities. The program was informative and encouraged students towards innovation and practical project development.

Government Polytechnic, Kheda successfully organized a Thalassemia, Eye & Dental Checkup Camp on 15th April 2026. 🩺

A total of 118 students actively participated in this health initiative, which included thalassemia screening, eye checkups, and dental examinations. The camp aimed at promoting early detection and spreading awareness about preventive healthcare.

Organized by the Gymkhana Committee and supported by YGEN Healthcare Pvt. Ltd., the event proved highly beneficial for students by providing expert medical guidance and encouraging healthy practices.

"Expert Talk on Cyber Crime Awareness"
Government Polytechnic Kheda organized an expert talk on “Cyber Crime Awareness” on 23rd March 2026 at the Library Seminar Hall under the guidance of Principal Shri A. M. Patel sir and coordinated by cyber club team.
The session was delivered by PSI Mr. N. N. Rathod and WPC Ms. Jankiben Bhatt from Cyber Crime Police Station, Kheda-Nadiad. They shared valuable insights on phishing, online frauds, identity theft, and safe internet practices, along with real-life case examples.

VISIT TO RASHTRIYA RAKSHA UNIVERSITY

A group of 49 students from the Computer Engineering and IT departments of Government Polytechnic, Kheda visited Rashtriya Raksha University on 12 March 2026, accompanied by two faculty members—Ms. Margee A. Milisia, Cyber Club Coordinator, and Mrs. Nisha P. Shah, Nodal Officer of the Cyber Club. The purpose of the visit was to give students practical exposure to cyber security concepts and emerging digital threats.

The university conducted a one-hour interactive session on cyber security, where students learned about safe online behaviour, current cyber risks, and preventive measures. The session was simple, informative, and relevant to the academic needs of the students.

On National Science Day 2026, 54 students of Government Polytechnic, Kheda, along with Dr. Rehana B.M., Dr. Ishan Bhavsar, and Ms. Maitri Sharma, visited Science City, Ahmedabad.
Students attended a Quantum Theory lecture and hands-on session with GUJCOST kits by Mr. Kathan Kothari. The afternoon featured inspiring talks on Women in Science by Prof. Dr. Surya Ramachandran and Dr. Kuljeet Kaur Marhas.
The event also included the launch of Science Within Dots (Braille magazine), dignitary addresses, and visits to the Aquatic, Robotic, and Astronomy Galleries.
An enriching and motivating experience promoting scientific temper and innovation.
