The Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel University of Agriculture and Technology - Meerut aims are assured prosperity of farmers and rural community through diversification, intensification and linkage of agriculture to the market. The main occupation of villagers is agriculture. About 80% of the population of India lives in the villages. There is backbone of the country. Agriculture is the supreme importance for the progress of the country. To improve the economic condition of the villager's agriculture must be modernized. They should be made to use better seeds, Bio-fertilizers, chemicals fertilizers and scientific methods of agriculture.
