The Department established in 2000, has qualified, young and dynamic teaching staff, many with specializations in various streams of this field of engineering, and also from reputed institutions. The team of faculty members, supported by well-trained laboratory staff and technicians cater to the need for the over-all development of students in academics as well as in other technical activities. art from the regular subjects of the course, the department also offers a wide range of elective subjects, which benefits the students in pursuing their field of interest so as to specialize and concentrate more on fields relevant to their project. The department always looks for creative and technologically advanced skill transfer to the students through collaboration, guidance and counselling in the department.

RGGI organised a workshop on Industrial Automation (RLC, PLC, SCADA, HMI) covering Start Stop Logic, Holding of Relay, Ladder Logic, Logic on Relay, timer, counter, Integer Math, Wince Explore and SIEMENS HMI on 15-09-2017 in association with Automation Engineer AB Pvt. Ltd., SIEMENS System House. Students from Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering and Electrical Engineering actively participated.
The session was delivered by ABEB delegates Mr. Harish Chand and Ms. Nidhi Shivhare.
The workshop was coordinated by Mr. Manish Jaiswal and Mr. Vikash Bhardwaj.
Hon'ble Director RGGI Dr. Niraj Kumar motivated the students.
Mr. S.K.Singh (HOD EE) , Mr. Jay Kumar (HOD CSE), Dr. P.K.Singh (HOD ECE), Mr. Raman Garg(Astt. Prof. EE), Mr. Bijendra Singh (Astt. Prof. ECE), Ms. Sonika Singh (Astt. Prof. ECE) were also present during the session.
Live demo were done on PLC for various operations.

Radha Govind Group of Institutions, Meerut organized Kalakaari- The Poster Making Competition on 19 August, 2017. The theme of the event was Anti-Ragging.
Students from B.Tech, MBA & MCA actively participated in the event and shown up their talent. Shri Yogesh Tyagi, Hon'ble Chairman, Radha Govind Group inspired the students by praising their creative skills.
Prof. Niraj Kumar, Director RGGI motivated the students for their creativity. Mr. Arun Bhardwaj, Head, MCA Department & Mr. Jai Kumar Head, Department of Computer Science judged the event. Prizes were distributed to winners and certificates were provided to all participants of the event.
Winners were:
1. Vaibhav Jain (IT Final year)
2. Sony Bhandari (MBA Final year)
3. Ankur (CSE Final year)
Winners among newly admitted students:
1. Nagma Parveen (MCA)
2. Anushka Gupta (MCA)
3. Sakshi Sharma (CSE 1st year)
