World Haemophilia Day 🩸

World Haemophilia Day was observed by II BSc Nursing students of Yashoda College of Nursing Gowdavally on April 17th to raise awareness about bleeding disorders, based on the theme “Diagnosis: The First Step of Care.” 🏥 The program included informative presentations and demonstrations highlighting the causes, symptoms, early diagnosis, and management of haemophilia. 🎤🩺 Students actively participated through posters and interactive sessions, making the event engaging .
The program emphasized that timely diagnosis is crucial for effective treatment and improving the quality of life of affected individuals.

World Parkinson’s Day - 11th April 2026 was observed on at Yashoda College of Nursing Gowdavally,under the theme ‘Bridging the Care Gap’ aiming to raise awareness about Parkinson’s disease and the need for accessible and equitable care.
Organized by the Department of Medical Surgical Nursing & II BSc Nursing students , the programme included an informative session on the causes, symptoms, and management of the disease, along with student activities such as quizzes and displays on exercises for the patients.
Students and faculty actively participated, emphasizing the importance of early diagnosis, continuous care, and reducing disparities in treatment.

The ‘Praja Palana – Pragathi Pranalika’ programme, organized in observance of ‘Drug Control and Regulatory Strengthening Day,’ featured a range of activities including quiz, essay writing, elocution, and painting competitions, with enthusiastic participation from the students.

The competitions were held based on the themes “Say No to Drugs, Yes to Life” and “Break the Chain of Antimicrobial Resistance: Protect Our Medicines, Protect Our Future.” Students actively engaged in g their ideas through different formats, reflecting a strong understanding of the topics.
