TATA Advanced Systems Limited, Hyderabad has conducted an online examination as part of the campus placement process for selecting our Central Institute of Tool Design (CITD) DTDM-2023 batch trainees for the position of “In-Plant Intern” in their esteemed organization.

Visit of Principal Director Dr. T. Vijay Krishna Kanth to the Military College of Mechanical & Electronics Engineering (MCEME), Secunderabad, for taking forward the MoU signed between the Development Commissioner, Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, New Delhi, and the Directorate General of Electronics and Mechanical Engineers, Integrated Headquarters of Ministry of Defence (Army), i.e., the Corps of EME.

The interaction was carried out with Col. K. D. Singh, Col. Shekawat, and Shri Ashok Kumar Panda, Superintending Engineer-cum-Course Control Officer, wherein the Principal Director discussed how MSME Tool Room - Central Institute of Tool Design - CITD, Hyderabad can support their activities as per the MoU.

Col. K. D. Singh also showed the entire facility and explained the technological nuances to the Principal Director. He, along with Shri Ashok Kumar Panda, also showed the Additive Manufacturing Facility and took inputs from the Principal Director for its academic usage.

Cloud Computing - Valedictory Ceremony.

CITD Long Term Department successfully conducted the first batch of a two-week course on “Cloud Computing” from 23.02.2026 to 09.03.2026, with a total of 79 students participating.

A 2 Day Vendor Development Program (VDP) was successfully inaugurated on 24th of March 2026 at Ratan Tata Innovation Hub, Visakhapatnam by MSME-TE-CITD
in association with AP MSME DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION under RAMP Scheme. The program aimed to promote MSMEs, startups,
and local entrepreneurs by creating awareness about procurement opportunities, government schemes, and industry requirements.

🌟 CITD – Students Industrial Visit Update 🌟

As part of academic and industrial exposure, the students of CITD – DECE & DPE-2023 batches successfully visited International Advanced Research Centre for Powder Metallurgy & New Materials (ARCI), Hyderabad, on 11-03-2026.
A total of 60 students, along with faculty and staff members, explored various advanced research facilities including:

🔹 Centre for Laser Processing of Materials
🔹 Centre for Engineered Coatings
🔹 Centre for Solar Energy Materials
The visit provided valuable insights into modern materials technology, laser processing, and industrial research practices.
