📚 Successful Organization of a Special Guest Lecture on Constitutional Law at Rudra College of Law, Mawana, Meerut
On 15 June 2026, Rudra College of Law, Mawana, Meerut organized an important and enriching guest lecture for the students of B.A. LL.B. Final Year and LL.B. Final Year on the topic: “Directive Principles as Fundamental Rights: Judicial Transformation of Part IV.”
The keynote speaker for the event was Dr. Vikas Kumar (Assistant Professor), Institute of Legal Studies, Chaudhary Charan Singh University Campus, Meerut. During his lecture, he elaborated on the constitutional significance of Part IV of the Constitution of India (Directive Principles of State Policy), their historical development, and the evolving role of the judiciary in transforming these principles into enforceable rights through judicial interpretation.
Dr. Vikas Kumar explained how the Directive Principles, which were initially considered non-justiciable guiding principles for governance, have gradually gained practical significance through landmark judicial decisions and their harmonious interpretation with Fundamental Rights. His lecture was enriched with constitutional examples, judicial precedents, and practical insights, making the complex subject highly engaging and understandable for the students.
The program was graced by the presence of Dean Mr. Pankaj Bhardwaj, Assistant Professor Ms. Reena Ansari, Mr. Ajay Kumar, and all the students of the institution. The session proved to be highly interactive, where students actively participated and raised several constitutional queries, which were addressed comprehensively by the speaker.
Such academic initiatives reflect the commitment of Rudra College of Law towards promoting legal awareness, constitutional understanding, and the overall academic development of its students. These guest lectures play a vital role in bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical legal perspectives.
We extend our sincere gratitude to Dr. Vikas Kumar for sparing his valuable time and sharing his expertise with our students. His insights and guidance were truly inspiring and beneficial for all attendees.
