BMHS ’96: A Celebration of Freedom and Friendship

This Independence Day, the BMHS Class of 1996 joins the nation in celebrating the spirit of a free and sovereign India. As we look forward to the future with hope, we also pause to remember the bonds that unite us.

Jai Hind from the entire BMHS 96 Team!

While we celebrate our nation today, our hearts are with the family and memory of our classmate, Kewal Kane, who left us too soon this year.

Today would have been Kewal's birthday. We are remembering his laugh, his spirit, and the joy he brought to our days at BMHS.

“Though you are no longer with us, Kewal, your memory remains a guiding light in our lives. Happy heavenly birthday, friend. You are deeply missed.”

A tribute match for Kewal Kane was held at MCC between Kewal Kane's team, KK Strikers, and Madgaon Royals, with friends and members coming together to honour their lives and contributions. The tribute was held on 28th January at 6:30 pm at MCC Ground.

As we mourned the passing of our two dear friends, Kewal Pai Kane, Co-Owner of KK Strikers, and Paul Fernandes, MCC Member, we paid our respects with a small token of remembrance. A minute’s silence was observed before the match in their memory.

You walked among us with an easy smile,
A friend to everyone, every mile.
In laughter, in teamwork, in moments small,
You were there to lift us all.

Full of life, with a heart so true,
Always ready to help, to see us through.
Though you’re gone from our sight today,
Your kindness and light will forever stay.

Kewal baab, rest peacefully, dear friend so rare—
In our hearts, you’ll always be there.

Organising Committee Signs Off – Reunion ’25

The past three months have been truly overwhelming. So much went into planning—bringing the team together, materialising ideas, and finally hosting the event.

Today, we sign off with a deep sense of contentment and pride. We proved that “IMPOSSIBLE” is just an opinion.

We proudly declare the weekend—covering the reunion and the cricket tournament—a SUCCESS, and one that cannot be spelled without U.

As we look ahead, we carry with us the hope of meeting again, stronger in numbers, broader in inclusion, and united in spirit—aspiring to bring together every student from our class.

Until we meet again we would like to sign off by saying
“Yaaron dosti badi hi haseen hai”.
