*Ten candidates from Northeast crack UPSC exam 2019; find out more.*
A total of ten candidates from Northeast India successfully cleared the 2019 Civil Services Examination including Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS) and Indian Police Service (IPS) conducted by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) which was announced on Tuesday.
From Assam, four candidates made it to the list; two each from Manipur and Sikkim and one each from Tripura and Nagaland.

Nongjai Mohd Ali Akram Shah of Khergao Nongjai Leikai Kshetrigao from the Imphal East district secured the 188th rank.
Pariksh*t Thoudam of Uripok Cheirap Maning from Imphal West district ranked 373.
*SIKKIM*
Yangchen Doma Bhutia secured 677th position
Zenden Lingzerpa secured 794th position
*NAGALAND*
Richard Yanthan of Lakhuti village under Wokha district secured 133rd position.
*TRIPURA*
Dhiman Chakma, resident of Kanchanpur sub-division under North Tripura district, secured 722nd position.
After the declaration of the results, the appointment to the services will be made according to the number of vacancies available with due consideration to the provisions contained in the Rules for the Examination.
UPSC prelims 2020 has been delayed due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
*Due to the ongoing crisis, the IAS prelims 2020, which was scheduled for March 31, are to be conducted on October 4 next.*
