Proud to mark our 4th consecutive year of hosting the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj – Life, Times & Legacy Quiz for the Department of Information and Publicity, Government of Goa, held annually on Shiv Jayanti.

This year saw participation from 14 teams, with 5 advancing to the finals — and notably, 4 of the 5 finalist teams were all-women teams, an encouraging sight in the quizzing space.

Goa University secured first place, followed by Goa Engineering College in second and PES College in third, while VMSCL and GRKCL were the other two finalists.

This edition was hosted by Saheel Wagh, with support from Prathmesh Nagekar and Chandrakant Kudchadker.

As part of RBI’s Financial Literacy Week 2026, we hosted an Intercollegiate Quiz on the theme “KYC - Your First Step to Safe Banking.”

Teams from 18 HEIs across Goa brought their A-game, with Damodar College clinching victory over Chowgule College in a thrilling tie-breaker. The quiz challenged minds while spreading crucial awareness on financial literacy, KYC, and safe banking.

This marked our third quiz curated for RBI, and we’re grateful to the RBI Panaji Regional Office for their continued support since 2023.

Chandrakant Kudchadker hosted the India quiz at Elgar 1.0, with questions curated by Suraj Kamat and Saheel Wagh.
What made the competition truly one of its kind was its unique format. The top two quiz teams went on to face off in a debate, blending quizzing and debating into a single themed contest. Congratulations to the organizers Ghumat Mogi for the resounding success of the inaugural edition! 👏

We successfully hosted the 100th quiz by 🎉

It was a full house with 34 teams participating, with the top six making it to the finals. The prelims were an alphabet soup cooked up by Chinmay, followed by finals on a cricket theme 🏏 Teams chose their overs from a range of themes, making it a nail-biting finish.

🏆 Champions: Shashwat & Mayur
🥈 Runners-up: Sanjay & Raunak
🥉 Third place: Kaivalya & Samyak (on boundary count!)

The Janaki Kamat Memorial Quiz prizes were sponsored by Suraj, in memory of his mother. A heartfelt thank you to Ameya Parsekar for sponsoring the audience prizes, and to the Department of Political Science, Dhempe College of Arts and Science, Miramar for partnering with us in hosting this event.

The Quiz Labs successfully hosted yet another edition of the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Inter College Quiz Competition held for the undergraduate students, held at Farmagudi, Ponda-Goa. A total of 19 teams participated in the competition, with DMC Assagao emerging victorious, while Govt College Sankhali finished in 2nd place and GMC Bambolim completed the top 3. Congratulations to all the winners! 🎉

📚🔍 Inter-School Quiz at Saraswat Vidyalaya, Mapusa

In association with Inner Wheel Club of Mhapsa Elite, the quiz brought together bright young minds for an exciting test of knowledge and quick thinking. The quiz was hosted by Saheel Wagh, with support from Shantanu Chumbalkar. ✨ ✨

The final round of Valmiki’s Vision: A Journey Through Goa’s Heritage was held on 6th January 2025 at Ravindra Bhavan, Margao, bringing together 40 talented teams from 21 schools across Goa. These young minds competed with passion and pride, diving deep into themes like Goa’s Contribution to India’s Defence Forces and Liberation and Integration of Goa. The quiz was hosted by Chinmay with help from Saheel and Swetang.

The Quiz Labs hosted another successful All Goa School Quiz organised by Ravindra Kelekar Dnyanmandir High School at Ravindra Bhavan Margao, on the occassion of Goa Opinion Poll day. A total of 72 teams had participated in the online preliminary round, out of which 6 teams made it to the grand finale. The results are as follows:

Winners - Sarvodaya Educational Society, Curchorem
Runners up - KB Hedgewar High School, Assnora
3rd place- KB Hedgewar High School Sankali
4th place- Mahalaxmi High School
5th place- Saraswat High School Mapusa
6th place- Bhatikar Model High School, Margao

For the first time ever, The QuizLabs hosted a quiz across two categories in two different auditoriums simultaneously! 🎉
It was the first edition of the Laxmidas Borkar Birth Centenary Quiz Contest themed on Goa’s struggle for independence.
Sachin Panicker led the higher secondary and college section, while Chinmay Naik took charge of the high school section, supported by Saee Bhate, Samrudhi Raut, and Riddhi Moghe. A big shoutout to Sarvangi Kenkre for handling registration and coordination, and to the Laxmidas Borkar Janmashatabdi Samaroh Samiti for giving us this opportunity to manage the quiz end-to-end.

With over 350 students participating in the online round, the top 60 were selected for the in-person event. After two and a half hours of intense quizzing, the top 5 in each category were awarded prizes, leaving the audience with invaluable knowledge about Goa’s freedom fighters and the struggle for liberation. The quiz was curated by Swetang Naik for The QuizLabs.
