Maker’s Asylum is a community MakerSpace based in Goa, that allows collaborative ideation. It brings together interdisciplinary activities covering Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math (STEAM) to foster a culture of innovation, exploration and learning. For hardware entrepreneurs, it’s easy access to tools, technology and talent so they can prototype their ideas. For problem solvers, it’

s a space to exchange ideas with other like and unlike-minded folks who share your passion. Don’t let those ideas die on the drawing board. Come make your ideas happen! To support this mission, we offer:

An array of 3D printers, laser cutters, CNC machines, electronics lab and prototyping tools for woodworking, robotics, bicycle building and repair, rapid prototyping, open source computer-aided design. Regularly organised, affordable and publicly-accessible classes by local makers, focusing on either creating a final product the student can take home or general training for specific tools. Affordable monthly membership plans that include access to our facility and tools. On-site material and project storage allowing community members to create and store projects without the hassle of handling material and storage logistics. For years, Maker’s Asylum has been building, making, and creating in Goa. Now, we want to create opportunities for the young people of Goa to imagine, build, and shape the future of their own communities.

🌱 Applications are now open for the Innovation School Fellowship 2026, by Maker’s Asylum, supported by Deltin Foundation.

We’re offering 25 fully funded scholarships for young Goans who are curious, creative, and ready to turn their ideas into reality.

Soothing Scents is an interactive project designed to help regulate your mood through the power of scent.

A heartbeat sensor placed on your hand detects your pulse in real time. Based on your body’s response, the system releases a carefully selected fragrance - either one that promotes calm or one that provides an energising boost.

By combining biometric sensing with aromatherapy, Soothing Scents creates a personalised sensory experience that responds to what your body needs in the moment.

Introducing Airsense - a digital emotional owl that helps teens tackle climate anxiety! Our lovely team from Cohort 2 this summer 2026 explains their journey of building the project! We are currently on our 4th cohort this summer with about 100 teens coming in to really build things that matter to them on the program. Our winter applications are extended till 15th July!
