On 1st May 2026, S. D. Kanya Mahavidyala, Mansa organised a Farewell Party on a grand scale. The students of 2nd year and final year classes made the whole atmosphere cheerful with their marvellous performances that included Singing, Dancing, Farewell Speech, Fun Games etc.. Ms. Shivani won the honour of Miss Farewell. Dr. Garima Mahajan, Principal, in her address, motivated the outgoing students to grab the various opportunities the world provides since the whole universe belongs to them.

Following the instructions of the Commanding Officer of 10 Punjab Battalion NCC, the NCC cadets of S.D. Kanya Mahavidyalaya, Mansa organized a programme on “Operation Sindoor” under the guidance of ANO Lt. Dr. Jyoti Bala and Principal Dr. Garima Mahajan. A documentary based on the operation was screened to spread awareness about patriotism, sacrifice, and national unity. NCC cadet Karishma delivered an inspiring speech highlighting the courage and dedication of Indian soldiers. The programme concluded with the National Anthem, through which all NCC cadets paid tribute to “Operation Sindoor.” The management committee of the college appreciated the efforts of the NCC cadets and encouraged them to continue participating in such patriotic activities.

An engaging extension lecture on Canva was delivered by Ms. Nancy at S.D. Kanya Mahavidyalaya, Mansa. The session was specially organized for Crash Course students of Computer Science, equipping them with
practical skills in creative design and digital presentation. Under her guidance, students explored the art of making
professional posters, resumes, and social media content etc.This initiative reflects the institution’s commitment to holistic skill development, blending computer science
with modern digital tools to empower learners for academic and professional success.

In the open ground, the Spoken English Crash course students gathered in small groups for an engaging Find and Write activity. Guided by Course Incharge Babita Monga, they explored their surroundings, observed and penned down the required details .
This lively exercise not only sharpened their observation but also nurtured their writing skills, encouraging creativity and clarity in expression. The collaborative spirit of the activity helped students learn from one another while building confidence in both spoken and written English.

Dr. Baljeet Kaur’s extension lecture for the Crash course students of S.D. Kanya Mahavidyalaya, Mansa beautifully traced the cultural roots of Punjabi heritage, emphasizing how traditions and values connect generations and strengthen community identity. She highlighted the spiritual dimensions woven into everyday practices through Gurbani, folk art, and values of compassion and unity. The session also included a visit to Roohay Virasat, the cultural corner established in the college, where students experienced living expressions of heritage. Together, the lecture and visit inspired learners to take pride in their legacy and preserve its vibrance in modern times.
