Mental Health
21st century is some times called the century of progress, sometimes as century of crisis amidst all the issues like climate change, Global warming and the recent Covid-19. But among all of these factors, we have forgot one very basic aspect of our life-“Mental Health”.
According to WHO, 450 million people are currently suffering from mental disorders and 25% people in the world will be affected by mental or neurological disorders at some point in their live. The death of actor Sushant singh Rajput has open up the debate “what we want and what we really need? “
In today’s fast moving world people do not have time to sit and talk to each other even at their home. Especially, people living in Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities away from their home are more affected by mental disorders, depression etc. The covid Lockdown has further aggravate it .Even No one is ready to talk about it openly fearing people will call him/her as mental/depressed.
I think , Now is the time we need to think of our health first and rest everything can wait. We need to think what really matters, what really gives us joy, happiness and satisfaction- is it a luxurious life at the cost of depression, anxiety and loneliness or is it a satisfied life full of happiness. My answer is the latter one. Even if the first one was the case, Sushant Would not have committed su***de- A versatile and successful actor with probably a good bank balance and in our terms both Daulat and Shauhrat. Today is time to introspect.
