TAPMI Toastmasters successfully conducted its first virtual meet today! 🙌

In times of work from home, it is only fitting that committees such as ours that are entirely student centric, innovate and come up with newer techniques to stay connected and continue our journey in communication mastery.

We would like to thank all those who joined us today and would love to see more of you in our next meet.

Special mention to Professor Punam Prasad who took time out to join us in this session. We loved having you Maam 😊

Amidst the COVID-19 lockdown, all of us are either binging on TV shows or eating away till we explode. In the midst of all of those important activities, we thought we could all do with a bit of Toastmasters Meeting nostalgia!

So, for the first time ever TAPMI Toastmasters is going to go online!

After garnering such positive feedback from all our Toastmasters, we have decided to provide you a continued learning opportunity on a different platform to improve and excel in your public speaking skills during this quarantine!

Catch us online this Thursday at 6 PM for a bit of a Toastie special reunion and an evening with stories and speeches that will lighten us all up 🙌

SEBI extended timelines for quarterly and annual audited results to June 30. Companies will now pay auditors only when their work is complete. Big-4 auditing firms will be the most hit in 2020-21.

Few facts:
1. Deloitte India to re calibrate increments, promotions to be considered when there is visibility of profits.
2. PwC India to defer all employee appraisal cycles
3. EY India has decided to forgo performance-based appraisals

Overall 2020 is going to witness a reduction in global emissions by 0.3% only - lesser than during financial crash in 2008-09

A couple of facts:
1. Transport contributes 23% (driving 72% and aviation 11%) to the global emissions - a huge positive impact since
2. If the coronavirus lats till the end of the year ?(oh no!) then consumer demand will be as low as possible and difficult to pick up even if there is capacity

Pollution and greenhouse gas emissions have fallen across continents as countries try to contain the spread of the new coronavirus. Could it lead to longer-lasting falls in emissions?
