As we all know, every end gives rises to new beginnings and aspirations. Therefore, carrying forward our mission to encourage more women in tech and give wings to their dreams, we are thrilled to welcome the new board of ACM-W for the academic year 2021-22.
The times were tough with the previous term being completely virtual and members spread across the nation but we managed to succeed, to keep the community thriving with the same enthusiasm and brimming with exciting ideas. We know that the new board will continue to do the same with zeal and will carry the legacy of ACM-W Manipal forward.

A new academic year rolls in, one different from all the kinds we've had before. These testing times, however, are not a limitation. All we need is new creative ideas to tackle the problems on hand.
In the light of change, ACM-W is proud to present the board for the academic year of 2020-21. Our seniors have guided us and left us with great knowledge of how to conduct ourselves and tap into the potential of creative solutions, community reach and more.

Open Source - the new buzzword, what is it? How do you get started? How do you approach GSoC - Google Summer of Code and other Open Source programs?
The world of Open Source is vast and can get really confusing. ACM-W brings to you a talk on "A Guide to Open Source and GSoC". Our speakers for the event are Dwarknath Gneshwar, student developer for DBpedia, GSoC and Isham Mahajan who has worked with The Zulip Project for GSoC. A third speaker, Kritika Ramesh will be elaborating on the process for Outreachy.

The speakers will also provide insights on open source documentation.This talk also aims to give you clarity on the existence of GSoC, how to choose an organization, research projects within it and how to complete the projects you have started.
