From having successful events and workshops to having collaborations with SELCO (a social enterprise for student projects), and hosting the Philips Hackabout (2016). The Akshay Urja Club continues to grow and ensure a more sustainable way of living in the community. For all those who know us, you know what to do this coming week. This invitation goes out to all 1st Year students to join our community to ensure a greener future.

The Student Contact Program is an annual event organized by The Akshay Urja Club, where the club invites schools to participate in this event focused on increasing awareness about the environment and renewable energy.
This year students from classes 5 to 8 along with their parents were invited from several schools around Manipal and Udupi. The event was held on 27th January,2019 from 9am to 12:30 pm, in MIT. The one-day event consisted of three major competitions: Painting competition, Just-A-Minute and Quiz competition, mainly focusing on various recent environmental developments.We also had a lecture given by a college student.
Our Faculty advisor Mr. Mahesha MG, delighted us by being present throughout the event. Participation certificates were awarded to the children by him.The event turned out to be a great success as the participating students thoroughly enjoyed and organization of the event was appreciated by all the parents.

Akshay Urja Club organized an online Creative Writing and Drawing competition 'Creatographica' on 12th and 13th of this month.

Submit your essays, short stories or poetries on any one of these themes and participate in this creative combat.

It's high time we do our bit and give back to Mother earth and what's a better way than to interact and teach the young ones, who will be the future tomorrow.
AUC and ASME joined hands to take up the initiative by visiting three schools in a span of two days under AUC's Student Contact Program.
The sessions resulted in lots of learning on both sides, fun interactions and saplings as a thank you gift.
Students were an absolute delight to teach, looking forward to visiting them again.
