Debate Intensifies on Day 2 of 10th GGS Leadership Conclave 2026

Day two of the decadal GGS Leadership Conclave 2026 (GGSLC’26) at Gurukul Global School, Chandigarh, saw over 280 delegates engage in high-octane diplomacy and crisis management across committee sessions.

Delegates tackled global energy sanctions in UNGA, gender-based violence in UNCSW, and pressing national issues like examination reforms and coalition politics in AIPPM. High-intensity simulations—including PSY-FI case studies, the IPL Auction, a Bollywood emergency session, and 3v3 Parliamentary Debates—tested quick decision-making and strategic thinking.

The intellectual rigor was balanced by the highlight of the evening, GGSLC Socials Night. Fostering holistic learning and peer interaction, the event proved that the conclave is as much about networking and lasting connections as it is about structured debate.

School leadership praised the delegates for their constructive dialogues and collaborative spirit as committees moved toward resolution drafting ahead of tomorrow's closing session.

The students of Class IV participated in an informative activity on Endangered and Extinct Species of Animals. They collected pictures of different endangered and extinct species, gathered interesting information about them and presented their findings to the class. Through this activity, students learned about the reasons behind extinction and the importance of protecting endangered animals and their habitats. The activity enhanced their research, presentation and communication skills while developing awareness about wildlife conservation.

Gurukul Global School Announces 10th GGS Leadership Conclave 2026

Gurukul Global School, Chandigarh, embarked on the 10th edition of its Leadership Conclave the GGS Leadership Conclave 2026 (GGSLC’26), being hosted from 21st to 23rd August 2026, with the opening ceremony held on 21st August. Guided by the theme ‘Harmony from Havoc,’the three-day conference will convene 280+ delegates from the Tricity, across India, and international backgrounds for over 15 hours of intense debate and diplomacy.

The three day conclave would feature dynamic committees: UNCSW (Gender-Based Violence), UNGA (Oil Blockades & Energy Sanctions), AIPPM (Unemployment & Exam System Crisis), AIPPM (Electoral Reforms & Coalition Politics), International Press, PSY-FI (Psychological Case Study), IPL Auction, Celebrity Scandal (Bollywood Controversy), and Parliamentary Debate.

The Opening Ceremony has been graced by Chief Guest Dr. Ajay Kumar Sura, State Information Commissioner, Haryana, alongside President Shrimati Neena Setya and Managing Director Shri Parveen Setya.

Balancing rigorous discourse with vibrant engagement, GGSLC is aimed at fostering holistic learning and entertainment. Learning about healthy living became a fun and engaging experience for the UKG students of Gurukul Global School as they enthusiastically participated in a ‘Healthy Habits’ Show & Tell Activity. 🥗😊

With creative props and confident presentations, our young learners shared important healthy habits such as eating nutritious food, exercising regularly, maintaining personal hygiene, drinking plenty of water and getting enough sleep. 💧🍎🏃‍♀️🛌

This delightful activity helped strengthen their communication skills, confidence, vocabulary and awareness of healthy lifestyle choices. It was wonderful to watch our little presenters express themselves with such creativity, enthusiasm, and confidence! 🌈✨

House Haven: Building Little Dreams! 🏠✨

Building, creating, and learning went hand in hand as the Nursery Class students of Gurukul Global School enthusiastically participated in the ‘House Haven’ activity! Using colourful building blocks, our little learners created beautiful houses while joyfully exploring the letter H and its sound.

The children confidently recognised the letter H and identified familiar words beginning with its sound, such as House, Hat, Hen, Horse and more.

This engaging hands-on activity strengthened their letter recognition, phonics awareness, vocabulary, fine motor skills, creativity and spatial thinking. Through playful exploration and creativity, our young learners transformed alphabet learning into a meaningful, interactive and enjoyable experience!

Our Responsibilities, Our Nation

At our school, patriotism goes beyond celebrations—it is nurtured through meaningful actions and shared values.

As part of the collaborative craft activity "Our Responsibilities, Our Nation," students of class 3-A came together to create a magnificent National Flag of India, symbolising their commitment to building a stronger nation. Each of the 24 spokes of the Ashoka Chakra was inscribed with a unique responsibility of a responsible citizen, such as respecting others, keeping the surroundings clean, saving water, planting trees, following rules, and being honest.

The saffron band reflected values of courage, sacrifice, and responsibility, while the green band highlighted the importance of environmental care, growth, and prosperity.

As every piece came together, the National Flag became a powerful representation of unity, teamwork, and the collective responsibilities that shape our nation.

Through this engaging activity, students learnt that nation-building begins with small, responsible actions. It also fostered collaboration, creativity, communication, confidence, and artistic expression, inspiring every child to become a responsible and proud citizen.

Through their colourful and informative posters, the students showcased how eating a variety of nutritious foods provides essential nutrients for growth, energy, and a strong immune system.
