A planning-cum-meeting for the Academic Year 2026 was conducted for the teaching and non-teaching staff, chaired by the Headmaster, Shri Kunzang Wangchuk Lachungpa .
The meeting covered a wide range of important topics aimed at improving the overall academic environment and student development.
Discussions included the introduction of vocational subjects, the extensive use of Teaching Learning Materials (TLMs) to make the learning process more engaging and effective, enhancement of technological knowledge with emphasis on Computer Science, and the promotion of physical well-being through activities such as yoga and other fitness initiatives.

Marking the official commencement of the Academic Year 2026 at our school on 4th February 2026, a special distribution programme was organised in the presence of the AEO, Kabi, respected Sir Tashi Bhutia, the Headmaster of the school, respected Sir Kunzang Wangchuk Lachungpa as well as other departmental representatives.
On this occasion, essential learning and welfare materials—including textbooks, notebooks, school bags, school shoes and socks, and raincoats—were distributed to the students by the AEO.
While interacting with the students and staff, Shri Tashi Bhutia, AEO, extended his best wishes to the students and the entire school fraternity for a successful, disciplined, and fruitful academic year ahead.
We, the Phamtam School Team would like to express our sincerest gratitude to our respected AEO Sir for his kind presence and encouragement at the beginning of this academic session. His motivation and support have greatly inspired both students and teachers alike.
We look forward to an eventful and productive year ahead, committed to nurturing young minds and contributing positively to society through quality education!!

Date: December 12, 2025.
The last formal programme of the Academic Year 2025 marked the distribution of results along with a progress and planning meeting held in the presence of the School Management Committee, parents, and school staff. The session was presided over by the President of the SMC and our honorable Headmaster, Shri Kunzang Wangchuk Lachungpa, here at the premises of Government Junior High School, Phamtam.

The meeting focused on reviewing the targets achieved during the past academic year and setting fresh goals for the upcoming sessions. All stakeholders were updated on the school’s progress and the collective vision for continued improvement.

We, the school team, express our heartfelt gratitude to the School Management Committee and the parents for their unwavering cooperation, encouragement, and optimistic support throughout the year. Their partnership continues to inspire us as we move forward with renewed commitment and enthusiasm.

✨ Farewell Ceremony at Our School ✨

A heartfelt farewell programme was organised today at the school premises to honour our outgoing teacher, Dawa Lhamu Lepcha Maam. The event began with a warm welcome speech by Miss Tenzing Bhutia, who set the tone for a meaningful and memorable gathering.

Students showcased graceful dance performances, adding vibrancy and emotion to the occasion. Their efforts reflected the affection and admiration they hold for their beloved teacher.

Our senior teachers, Mrs. Tashi Tshomu Bhutia and Mrs. Sonam Choden Bhutia also took the podium to express their gratitude, sharing touching words about the teacher’s dedication, sincerity and lasting contribution to the school community.

The Headmaster of the school, respected Sir Kunzang Wangchuk Lachungpa, conveyed heartfelt appreciation and extended best wishes for the teacher’s future endeavours, acknowledging her years of committed service.

The programme concluded with a sincere vote of thanks delivered by Miss Binit Limboo, who expressed gratitude to everyone involved in making the event a meaningful tribute.
