Initially Our Institution commenced its activities on a small note by opening nursery classes and gradually started expanding the same by introducing primary classes & high school to PU College by introducing various other classes such as class for martial arts, tabla, music and dance classes, computer labs etc. These classes were opened keeping in view to equip the students to meet the challenges of the future and to keep them abreast to majority of the cultural ad traditional values of this nation along with academic growth.

Sarojini Madhusudan Kushe School was founded in the year 2000.

The foundation stone was laid by the sacred hands of Shri. Shri. Vishwa Prasanna Thirtha Swamiji, Pejawar Mutt in the presence of our founders. The school building was inaugurated by the divine hands of his holiness Shri. Shri. Bharathi Thirtha Maha Swamiji, Sringeri Mutt on 20th October 2000. Sri N. Yogish Bhat, M L A and Sri K K Pai, Registrar, Academy of General Education, Manipal were the guests of honour. In the year of commencement of the school Pre-KG and L K G Classes were conducted.

Academic year 2001-02 witnessed good growth.
Primary classes for children up to IV standard along with a computer lab was also set up with a view to ecquip the students to meet the challenges of the future. Tabla and dance classes were set up in the same year which was inaugurated by well known artist Sri Kumble Sunder Rao.

Academic Year 2002-03 witnessed the expansion of the activities of the school and considerable infrastructural growth.
The school after obtaining permission from the board of education started conducting classed for students’ upto VII Standard. Our institution thus further heightened its growth by promoting itself upto high school level.
To provide better facilities to the staff and students a beautiful dining hall “Neel Kamal” was constructed in the cellar floor of the building. Four additional classrooms were also built. A separate spacious library with a provision for comfortable studies for the children was also provided. Teachers were provided with separate staff room.
Martial arts and fine arts classes were also introduced in the same year which was inaugurated on June 20th. Spacious, beautiful state of the art auditorium with all modernization was sponsored by the management of the school for the cause of education. This auditorium was built in the memory of Smt. Radha Bai. P.V. Shet which was inaugurated on November 13th by the sacred hands of Rajashri Dr. D. Veerendra Hegde with the blessings of Shri. Vishweshatheertha Swamiji of Pejawar Mutt, various other eminent personalities were also present on this occasion. BULBUL and cubs movement for development of personality and leadership qualities within the students were initiated during the year and its inauguration took place on 3rd of January by Mrs, Irene D’Cunha, the Dist. Commissioner of guides and was presided by our beloved patron Madhusudan D. Kushe.

Academic year 2003 -2004 was another land mark year of the institution
P.U. College was commenced in the new building which was inaugurated by our dear patrons.
Bharath Scouts and Guides unit came into vogue on November 5th which was inaugurated by our patrons.
Residential summer camp was held during April which includes refresher course and entertainment.

Academic year 2004 -2005: Continued Development activities
Science section at college level was started Fully equipped Laboratory was set up Yoga classes were commenced during the year/the inauguration of which was held on 31st August by our patrons. On 12th January inauguration of Annapurna Bai Dattaram Kushe Crystal Block was held and Poojya Swamiji Poornakamanandaji Maharaj inaugurated and presided over.

Academic year 2005-2006
Glorious moment to the school wherein 100% successful result was declared in class 10 public exams. It is indeed a very proud moment to be cherished and we hope this trend will continue in the future.

Strength :
The staff and students strength is on upward trend year by year. At present we have 425 students on roll 43 teaching and non teaching staff each excelling in their respective fields. They have been provided with excellent infrastructural and sanitary facilities.

Events and Competitions :
Various events and competitions are held annually. These events are held with a view to promote budding talents and need to achieve human excellence in all aspects of learning. Apart from competition at Intra College, students are also encouraged to participate in various inter school and collegiate competitions.

We believe that every student is a reservoir of possibilities. Late. Mr. Madhusudan D Kushe : - Mr. Kushe joined at the age of 21 the PVS Beedis that was founded by his father-in-law Puthu Vaikunta Shet. The PVS Beedis has more than 1,000 employees. He went on to start PVS Infra, PVS Imports and Exports, PVS Memorial Charitable Trust and Sarojini Madhusudan Kushe Educational Institutions, which runs the Sarojini Madhusudhan Kushe School in Attavar. Mr. Kushe was Managing Trustee of the Venkataramana Temple in Dongarkery for over two decades.
