Guru Poornima – Samskriti Puja

Amrita Vidyalayam, Mangaluru, observed Guru Purnima with a meaningful Samskriti Puja, inspired by the teachings of Sadguru Sri Mata Amritanandamayi Devi. The programme included Vedic chanting and the sacred Padapuja by students for their parents.
Sampoojya Swamini Mangalamrita Prana guided the ceremony and spoke on the significance of the Guru–Shishya tradition, knowledge and spiritual growth. Sri Ranjith Kanchan, founder and trainer of the Shesham Shayana Kunitha Bhajana team, was felicitated for his contribution to preserving traditional devotional arts and culture.
Bhajans and Guru Stotra chanting added to the devotional atmosphere.
The programme was attended by the Principal Madhulika, Vice Principal Rekha Kamath, teachers, students and parents.

Young India Culinary Championship 2026
🧑‍🍳👩‍🍳🍛🌯🥄🍕🍞🥣🍪🍯
Amrita Vidyalayam, Mangaluru organised the first-level (School Level) Young India Culinary Championship (YICC) 2026, providing students with a wonderful opportunity to showcase their culinary creativity, practical skills and teamwork.

👩‍🍳 Category 1 – Cooking Without Fire (Grades 6–8): 8 students participated.
🔥 Category 2 – Cooking With Fire (Grades 9–10): 5 students participated.

The participants were assessed on Taste, Flavour & Aroma; Texture, Doneness & Presentation; Hygiene and Food Safety; Nutrition and Ingredient Choice; Creativity and Authenticity; and Workplace Organisation and Waste Control.

The students participated with great enthusiasm and confidence, independently planning, preparing and presenting their dishes without depending on anyone for assistance. They demonstrated self-reliance, teamwork, time management, creativity and responsibility throughout the event.

The first-level competition was a valuable platform for our young chefs to develop essential life skills and gain hands-on experience in culinary arts, while fostering creativity, healthy cooking practices and confidence. 🌟👩‍🍳👨‍🍳

We are delighted to share the remarkable achievement of our football team at the Independence Cup Football Tournament 2026, organised by the Dakshina Kannada Football Association.
Competing among nearly 110 high school teams, our players displayed outstanding skill, determination, discipline and team spirit. The team fought hard and successfully qualified for the Quarter-Finals, securing a place among the top eight teams in this highly competitive tournament.
This achievement is a testament to the students’ dedication, perseverance, teamwork and never-give-up spirit, along with the guidance of our coaches and the constant support of the school management, teachers and parents.

Guru Poornima & Paduka Pooja Celebration🙏

Amrita Vidyalayam, Mangaluru, celebrated Guru Poornima with devotion, gratitude, and reverence. The highlight of the celebration was the Guru Paduka Pooja and Guru Paada Pooja, where the Grade 10 students offered their respects by performing the sacred rituals for their teachers, expressing heartfelt gratitude for their guidance and blessings. The event also featured inspiring talks, soulful bhajans, and devotional prayers, beautifully reflecting the timeless Guru–Shishya tradition and the values of humility, respect, and selfless service. 🌸🕉️
