ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ ವರ್ಷ (2019-20)ರಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಷಾ ಅಲ್ಪಸಂಖ್ಯಾತ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಮತ್ತು ದಂತ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಕಾಲೇಜುಗಳ ಸೀಟು ಹಂಚಿಕೆ ನಿಯಮದಲ್ಲಿ ತಿದ್ದುಪಡಿ ಮಾಡಲಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಎಲ್ಲ ಖಾಸಗಿ ಸೀಟುಗಳು ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಭಾಷಾ ಅಲ್ಪಸಂಖ್ಯಾತ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಮಾತ್ರ ಮೀಸಲಿರಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಆದರೆ, ಧಾರ್ಮಿಕ ಅಲ್ಪಸಂಖ್ಯಾತ ಕಾಲೇಜುಗಳ ಖಾಸಗಿ ಸೀಟುಗಳನ್ನು ಕರ್ನಾಟಕೇತರ ರಾಜ್ಯಗಳ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಎರಡನೇ ಆದ್ಯತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪಡೆಯುವ ನಿಯಮವನ್ನು ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಉಳಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾಗಿದೆ.

ಜೊತೆಗೆ, ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಧಾರ್ಮಿಕ ಅಲ್ಪಸಂಖ್ಯಾತ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ವರ್ಷಕ್ಕೆ ರೂ. 798015 (ಈ ವರ್ಷದ ಶುಲ್ಕ ವಿವರದಂತೆ) ಪಾವತಿಸಬೇಕಾದ ಧಾರ್ಮಿಕ ಅಲ್ಪಸಂಖ್ಯಾತ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಕಾಲೇಜುಗಳಲ್ಲಿನ ‘ಖಾಸಗಿ’ ಕೋಟಾದ, ಸೀಟುಗಳನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯಬೇಕಾದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ಕನಿಷ್ಟ ಹತ್ತು ವರ್ಷ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದಲ್ಲೇ ಓದಿರಬೇಕೆಂಬ ನಿಯಮವನ್ನು ವಿಧಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಕನಿಷ್ಟ ಏಳು ವರ್ಷ ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಪಡೆದ (ಅರ್ಹತಾ ಕಂಡಿಕೆ ‘ಎ’ ಯಂತೆ) ಅಥವಾ ಎರಡು ವರ್ಷ ಪಿಯುಸಿ ವ್ಯಾಸಾಂಗ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಗಿಸಿ, ಅವರ ಪಾಲಕರ (ತಂದೆ/ತಾಯಿ) ಪೈಕಿ ಯಾರಾದರೊಬ್ಬರು ಕನಿಷ್ಟ ಏಳು ವರ್ಷ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದಲ್ಲಿ ವ್ಯಾಸಾಂಗ ಮಾಡಿದ ಎಲ್ಲ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು (ಅರ್ಹತಾ ಕಂಡಿಕೆ ‘ಬಿ’ಯಂತೆ) ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಎಲ್ಲ ಸರಕಾರಿ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಕಾಲೇಜುಗಳ ರೂ. 59850 ಶುಲ್ಕವಿರುವ ಸೀಟುಗಳನ್ನು ಮತ್ತು ರೂ. 1,24,404 ಶುಲ್ಕದ ಖಾಸಗಿ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಕಾಲೇಜುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ‘ಸರಕಾರಿ ಕೋಟಾ’ದ ಸೀಟುಗಳನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯಲು ಅರ್ಹತೆಯನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಆದರೆ, ಹತ್ತಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಒಂದು ವರ್ಷ ಕಡಿಮೆಯೂ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಲಿತ ಅಲ್ಪಸಂಖ್ಯಾತ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಖಾಸಗಿ ಕೋಟಾದ ಸೀಟುಗಳನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯಲು ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಅನರ್ಹರಾಗುತ್ತಾರೆ.
