The School of Education (B. Ed) organized a workshop on Preparing Teaching Aids on 17 March, 2025. Mr. Sudheer Balepuni, Visual Art and Drawing Instructor, Indira Gandhi Residential School, Belthangady, was the resource person. He provided guidance on the effective use of colours and sketch pens to enhance the clarity and visual appeal of charts. He also emphasized the importance of accurate measurement and proportion in chart design to ensure precision and readability.

A three-day workshop on art and craft was organized by Pidilite Company India, Bangalore, under the guidance of Resource Person, Mrs Pushpanjali Rao, at the School of Education, St. Aloysius University, Mangalore, from 13th March to 15th March, 2025.

The workshop aimed to explore and enhance the creativity of Trainee-teachers. They were introduced to various forms of art and craft, fostering their creative skills and encouraging the integration of these techniques into their teaching career. This hands-on experience provided student teachers with valuable artistic abilities that could be used to inspire and engage their future students.

On 24th of July, 2024, the students of our college gave a presentation on the different sites they had visited on the occasion of Environment day to explore and understand of the various issues involved in the enhancement and protection of the environment in the city of Mangalore. They were divided into 5 groups, where each group focused on the following topics:
1. Group 1- Environmental Survey at Schools
2. Group 2 - Household Consumption Survey
3. Group 3 - Rainwater Harvesting
4. Group 4 - Recycling and Waste Management Survey
5. Group -5 - Eco-Friendly Product Usage Survey

On the 22nd and 23rd of July, 2024, a Drama Workshop was conducted for the second years of our college by Mr Charith Suvarna and Mr Vinodhar Shetty. The workshop included several acting techniques and pointers as to how to use sound, properties and much more to the advantage of the actor. It also brought out the improvisational capabilities of our students where they shined the most. 🎭💫

11/07/2024 - Music Workshop for the second years of our college was conducted by Ms. Shilpa Cutinha. The students were taught the various ragas and talas and to sing in tune and with the gist of rhythm. The students thoroughly enjoyed the workshop and at the end were tasked with composing a song of their own. 💫🎶

09/07/2024 - Dance Workshop for the second years of our college was conducted by Ashish Anchan. The students were taught the various techniques of the Eastern and Western style of dancing with hands-on demonstration. The students showed their utmost energy and enthusiasm in this workshop 💫

19th July 2024, Our college organized a talk on the Global Perspectives on Exploring U.A.E schools and International Benchmark Standards.
The talk was heralded by Ms Haleema Tanveera who is an educator at GEMS Millenium School, U.A.E.
She is also an alumni of the college.

The institute celebrated the 50th birthday, a significant achievement of Mr. Santhosh Furtado, an Assistant Professor in Education of the Institute. The celebration encompassed a prayer, a song of well-wishes, the cutting of a cake, the sharing of anecdotes about Mr. Santhosh, a video presentation, and blessings bestowed by the Principal. May he be blessed with good health, happiness, and prosperity in the years to come.

On June 25, 2024, students gave PowerPoint presentations on outreach activities conducted on June 20, 2024. The presentations detailed visits to various homes for the elderly and rehabilitation centers for children with disabilities. The college organized this activity to provide practical experience in the core values of St. Aloysius Gonzaga, the Patron Saint of the College: concern, commitment, compassion, and community service. During this occasion, the winners of the St. Aloysius Quiz were also acknowledged with prizes.
