My dear young friends...

If you have to Crack a Competitive Exam, "Stop Studying..."

Whenever I ask this question "Why do you go to school?"...

A kindergarten kid says "I go to school to Study".

A Primary School student says "I go to school to Study".

A High School student says "I go to school to Study".

A Pre-University, Under-graduate or a post-graduate student too resonates the same tone, "Study"...

In the process of studying in the 2 + 5 + 3 + 2 + 2 + 3 + 2, from kindergarten to the post-graduate stage, an individual is relentlessly Studying for 19 years and comes out with a piece of paper that we call "Merit Certificate".

Does this Certificate qualify one to Crack the challenges ahead? Most of the time 'No'.

In our serious pursuit of Studying, we miss out on many a things that should transform us from being a carefree kid to an effective and responsible adult.

So my friends....

Stop Studying from this moment onwards...

I don't call myself a Youth Mentor. But it surely is a matter of pride when a kid grows and climbs up to a pinnacle and you have a small role to play in her journey to the top.

One such day is Today. Our little kid Ruth who entered into the Centre for Integrated Learning (CIL) fold through the first batch of our alternative education concept of The Parallel School. She has been since the past 12 years been an integral part of our organization, actively involved in all our activities and thus grooming herself to transform from a Chubby loving kid to a dignified young lass.

Today she makes us all proud by creating history as she becomes the first ever Mangalorean to Rank No. 1 in the All India Ranking of one of the toughest exams of CA conducted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.

The pass percentage of this year was as low as 1.6 percent which speaks of the level of the examination.

I recall that bubbly Ruth of 7th Grade and stand in awe next to her today as she has become a national celebrity. Humbling is the feeling when she acknowledges "Sachitha auntie and Nanda Uncle have a share in my success"...

All the very best Ruth Clare D'silva. This is just the beginning of a challenging journey ahead. Enjoy...
