World Tribal Day is celebrated every year on 9 August all over the world.
The day is dedicated to protecting the rights of tribal populations around the world, promoting their unique culture, languages, traditions and honoring their contribution to environmental protection.
The United Nations General Assembly proclaimed 9 August as "International Day of Indigenous Peoples" in December 1994. For the first time in 1982, the first meeting of the United Nations Working Group on Tribal Population was held on this day.
Happy world tribal day to all of you 🙏🏻
