As part of International Youth Day 2026 celebrations, BGS Institute of Nursing Sciences organized the Best Self-Care Plan Competition on 12.08.2026 at the BGSINS Multipurpose Hall, Sasyakashi.
The competition was conducted for students of all batches to promote self-care and holistic well-being among future nursing professionals.
Students prepared and presented a practical one-week Daily Self-Care Plan focusing on healthy and achievable daily routines.
The plans incorporated six key components: adequate sleep, exercise, healthy eating, mindfulness, recreation, and social support.
Participants creatively demonstrated strategies for maintaining physical, mental, emotional, and social well-being.
Students confidently presented their plans and highlighted the importance of stress management, emotional resilience, and burnout prevention.
Faculty members evaluated the presentations based on creativity, practicality, completeness, and relevance of the proposed self-care strategies.
The activity increased students’ awareness, confidence, and motivation to adopt sustainable healthy lifestyle and self-care practices.
The competition also encouraged students to develop balanced routines and strengthen their personal well-being for effective professional nursing practice. The activity contributed to SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), SDG 4 (Quality Education), and SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities).
