World Cleanup Day Celebrated at Abhilashi University
The 3rd Semester students of B.Sc. Radiology and Imaging Technology (RIT), School of Health Sciences, Abhilashi University, Mandi, observed World Cleanup Day by organizing a special cleanliness drive to promote environmental protection, cleanliness, and social responsibility.
As part of the initiative, the students actively participated in a cleanliness campaign and undertook cleaning activities in and around their surroundings. Through their efforts, they highlighted the importance of maintaining a clean and healthy environment and encouraged people to dispose of waste responsibly and adopt hygienic practices in their daily lives.
The cleanliness drive was aimed at fostering a strong sense of responsibility among students towards environmental conservation and community well-being. The students emphasized that cleanliness is essential not only for safeguarding personal and public health but also for protecting the environment and contributing to the development of a healthy, responsible, and sustainable society.
The students also conveyed the message that cleanliness should not be viewed as a one-day activity but should become an integral part of everyday life. They pledged to contribute consistently towards keeping their surroundings clean and to encourage others to adopt responsible waste-management and cleanliness practices.
The programme was organized under the guidance and coordination of Dr. Aakriti Guleria, Coordinator, School of Health Sciences. The initiative received the blessings and guidance of Hon’ble Chancellor Dr. R. K. Abhilashi, Hon'ble Pro-Chancellor Dr. L. K. Abhilashi, Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor Prof. H. K. An Apple a day makes our Agrarians sway

Our agriculture students had an insightful exposure visit to an apple orchard, where they got to observe orchard management practices, learn about apple cultivation, understand field-level challenges, and connect classroom knowledge with real-world farming.

From observing the trees to asking questions and exploring modern practices, every moment was a fruitful learning experience!

B.Sc. Operation Theatre Technology Students Gain Practical Exposure at Mandav Hospital
Students of B.Sc. Operation Theatre Technology (OTT), 3rd Semester, Abhilashi University, Chail Chowk, Mandi, undertook an educational and industrial visit to Mandav Hospital, Gutkar, Mandi, today as part of their academic curriculum.
The visit was organized with the objective of providing students with first-hand practical exposure to hospital functioning and familiarizing them with various aspects of operation theatre management, hospital procedures, patient care, infection prevention and control, sterilization practices, and other essential clinical procedures.
During the visit, the students interacted with hospital staff and observed various clinical and operational practices. The interaction provided them with valuable insights into the roles, responsibilities, and professional practices of Operation Theatre Technologists. The practical exposure enabled the students to relate their theoretical classroom knowledge to real-world clinical settings and gain a better understanding of the professional environment.
The visit was conducted under the supervision and guidance of Dr. Aakriti Guleria, Coordinator, Health Sciences, with due emphasis on discipline, safety, professional ethics, and institutional protocols.
The visit proved to be a valuable learning experience for the students, providing them with meaningful practical exposure and enhancing their understanding of the functioning of a hospital and the professional role of an Operation Theatre Technologist.
Dr. Aakriti extended her heartfelt gratitude to the University Management, Hon’ble Chancellor Dr. R. K. Abhilashi, Hon’ble Pro-Chancellor Dr. L. K. Abhilashi, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Prof. H. K. World First Aid Day Observed at Abhilashi University

The first-year students of BMLS, School of Health Sciences, Abhilashi University, Mandi, observed World First Aid Day with an awareness programme highlighting the importance of timely and appropriate first aid during accidents, injuries and emergencies.

The students shared valuable information on essential first-aid practices and also demonstrated their preparedness by systematically preparing a First Aid Box with essential materials for emergency situations.

The celebrations also featured a First Aid Box Making Competition and a Poster Making Competition, encouraging creativity, awareness, and active student participation.
