Physical Assessment Day | Balvatika-1 | IIT Mandi Campus School 🏃‍♀️

Today our tiny tots enjoyed a fun-filled Physical Assessment Day full of energy and excitement!

We conducted:
Simple Race - To check speed and gross motor skills
Hurdle Race - To improve balance, jumping and coordination
Solve the Puzzle & Run - A fun combo of mind + body! Kids solved the puzzle first and then ran to the finish line.

All children participated with full energy and big smiles. These activities help in physical growth, focus, and teamwork!

Learning by Doing – Balvatika Activities

Our young learners enjoyed a joyful blend of language, literacy and numeracy through engaging hands-on activities.
Hindi – व्यंजन पहचानो, शब्द बनाओ: Children identified व्यंजन and formed simple words.
English – Look, Find, Make & Read: Children identified letters, built CVC words and read sight words.
Maths – Number Hop: Before & After: Children hopped, identified numbers and explored before and after numbers through movement.
These activities made learning active, enjoyable and meaningful, while strengthening foundational skills, confidence and participation.

Gandhi Jayanti Special Assembly | IIT Mandi Campus School
IIT Mandi Campus School commemorated Gandhi Jayanti with a meaningful Special Assembly, remembering the life and timeless ideals of Mahatma Gandhi—Truth, Non-Violence, Peace, Simplicity and Self-Discipline.

The assembly began on an inspiring note with the Thought of the Day presented by Prisha of Grade VIII, followed by the Word of the Day by Kavya of Grade VII. Gurmannat delivered a thoughtful Hindi speech, reflecting on Gandhiji’s life and principles. The spirit of the occasion was further brought alive through a beautiful English poem by Manasvi of Grade VI and a meaningful Hindi poem by Amairya of Grade VII.

Adding greater meaning to the occasion, Principal Sir addressed the students and explained the significance of Gandhi Jayanti. Through his words, he encouraged students to understand that Gandhiji’s ideals are not meant only to be remembered on a particular day, but to be reflected in our everyday thoughts, choices and actions. His message inspired students to practice truthfulness, kindness, discipline, respect and responsibility and to understand how small positive actions can contribute to a better society.
The assembly beautifully reinforced the message that Gandhiji’s teachings are not merely lessons from history, they are values to be lived every day. Speaking the truth, choosing kindness over anger, respecting others, maintaining cleanliness, practicing self-discipline and having the courage to do what is right are simple yet powerful ways of carrying his legacy forward.
The celebration concluded with a meaningful thought: great change begins with small, conscious actions—and every child has the power to make a difference.

At IIT Mandi Campus School, such assemblies aim to go beyond academics by providing students opportunities to express themselves with confidence, reflect on meaningful values and grow into responsible and compassionate citizens.
Remembering Mahatma Gandhi not only for what he taught the world, but for the values he continues to inspire us to live by.

Activity Based Learning in Nursery Class | IIT Mandi Campus School

Today our little stars of Balvatika-1 enjoyed learning through play!

We conducted 3 fun activities:
a to f Toy & Letter Matching - Matching toys with their beginning sounds
Colour Sorting Fun - Recognising and sorting colours into correct boxes
Count & Place (1-5) - Counting sketches and placing in correct number boxes

Our kids learned with joy, curiosity and full participation. Learning is more fun when we do it practically!

Balvatika 2 – Little Champions on the Move!
Our enthusiastic little learners of Balvatika 2 participated in three exciting and fun-filled races that beautifully combined physical development, concentration, coordination, and confidence with joyful learning.

Jumping Joey Race – Children jumped their way towards the finish line, developing balance, leg strength, body coordination, and gross motor skills.

Newspaper Folding Race – A fun challenge that encouraged focus, quick thinking, hand-eye coordination, fine motor skills, and task completion.

Cross the Stone Race – Children carefully crossed the pathway, strengthening their balance, agility, concentration, spatial awareness, and confidence.
Every race brought cheerful smiles, energetic participation, and a wonderful spirit of learning through movement and play. Such activities provide our young learners with opportunities to explore their abilities, take on challenges, and grow more confident with every step.

Balvatika 3 – Little Champions in Action!
Our little learners of Balvatika 3 enthusiastically participated in a series of exciting and skill-based physical activities. Through play, movement, and challenges, children strengthened their balance, coordination, agility, concentration, confidence, and motor skills while having lots of fun!

Pyramid Making – A fun activity that developed balance, body coordination, flexibility, motor skills, and focus.

Pack the Bag – An engaging activity that encouraged speed, concentration, hand-eye coordination, and quick movement.

Fold the Mat & Run – A lively challenge that enhanced agility, coordination, speed, and body control.

Run & Cross the Hurdle – An energetic activity that helped build balance, strength, agility, speed, and confidence while crossing obstacles.

At IIT Mandi Campus School, we believe that every activity is an opportunity to learn, explore, grow, and become more confident. It was wonderful to see our little champions participate with such enthusiasm and joyful smiles!

Poster Making Competition | Vigilance Awareness Week 2026

“सत्यनिष्ठा से समृद्धि – Probity for Prosperity”

As part of Vigilance Awareness Week 2026 and in accordance with CBSE guidelines, IIT Mandi Campus School organized a Poster Making Competition for students of Classes VIII–XII on 26 September 2026.

The competition aimed to nurture the values of honesty, integrity, transparency and responsibility among students and encourage them to understand that integrity begins with the choices we make every day.

With colors, creativity and thoughtful ideas, our students beautifully expressed their understanding of the theme “सत्यनिष्ठा से समृद्धि – Probity for Prosperity.” Their posters conveyed meaningful messages about ethical conduct, responsible citizenship and the role of integrity in building a strong and prosperous nation. 🇮🇳

The activity provided students with an opportunity not only to showcase their artistic talent but also to reflect upon an important message — doing what is right, even when no one is watching.

The three best entries from the school will be selected and submitted to CBSE for national-level evaluation.

Integrity builds trust, and trust builds a stronger nation.

नमामि भारतम् | वंदे मातरम् के 150 वर्ष 🇮🇳

आज, 25 सितंबर 2026, IIT Mandi Campus School में ‘नमामि भारतम्’ कार्यक्रम के अंतर्गत राष्ट्रगीत ‘वंदे मातरम्’ के 150 गौरवशाली वर्ष पूर्ण होने के उपलक्ष्य में सामूहिक गायन का आयोजन किया गया।

विद्यार्थियों एवं शिक्षकों ने पूरे उत्साह, अनुशासन और राष्ट्रभाव के साथ एक स्वर में ‘वंदे मातरम्’ का गायन किया। इस अवसर ने विद्यार्थियों को हमारे राष्ट्रीय गीत की ऐतिहासिक यात्रा, स्वतंत्रता आंदोलन में उसके महत्व तथा मातृभूमि के प्रति सम्मान और कृतज्ञता की भावना से जोड़ने का सुंदर अवसर प्रदान किया।

यह आयोजन केवल सामूहिक गायन नहीं, बल्कि हमारी नई पीढ़ी को राष्ट्रीय एकता, सांस्कृतिक विरासत और देश के प्रति अपने कर्तव्यों से जोड़ने का एक प्रेरणादायी प्रयास रहा।

Breaking the silence and spreading vital awareness!

Our talented Grade 7 and 8 students recently presented a powerful and thought-provoking skit focused on menstrual cycle awareness, debunking age-old myths, and promoting essential menstrual hygiene.

Prepared as part of their science project under the 33rd Himachal Pradesh Science Congress 2026, this incredible performance combined science with social responsibility. Through brilliant acting and a sensitive approach, our young minds highlighted why open conversations, proper hygiene, and the eradication of stigmas are crucial for health and well-being.

We are immensely proud of our students for taking up such an important topic with maturity, confidence, and scientific inquiry. Let's keep encouraging our children to be changemakers in society!
