Desh Bhagat Ayurvedic College & Hospital, Mandi Gobindgarh, warmly welcomed its new BNYS (Bachelor of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences) batch with a vibrant Fresher Party filled with energy, creativity and enthusiasm.

Under the inspiring guidance of Hon’ble Chancellor Dr. Zora Singh, Pro-Chancellor Dr. Tajinder Kaur, Dr Sandeep Singh President, Dr Harsh Sadawarti Vice Chancellor and Director Campus Dr. Kulbhushan, and the leadership of Principal Dr. HemRaj, the celebration highlighted the growing importance of Yoga, Naturopathy, preventive healthcare and holistic wellness in today’s world.

A Memorable Celebration of Punjabi Literature & Journalism

A proud and meaningful occasion unfolded at Desh Bhagat University, Mandi Gobindgarh, with the release of “ਪੰਜਾਬ ਹੁਣ”, authored by renowned journalist, writer and Shiromani Patarkar S. Kamaljit Singh Banwait.

The ceremony was graced by Dr. Sandeep Singh, President, Desh Bhagat University, as the Chief Guest. Distinguished personalities including S. Harpreet Singh Dardi, Director, Chardikala Group; Prof. (Dr.) Harsh Sadawarti, Vice Chancellor; Prof. (Dr.) Parvinder Singh, Vice President; and Roop Kamal Kaur, Law officer Finanace Department Punjab Government, added significance to the occasion.

The event celebrated the richness of Punjabi literature, journalism and contemporary thought on Punjab, bringing together respected voices from the literary, media and public spheres.

The official announcement of the International Conference on Indian Knowledge Systems, scheduled for 4–5 December 2026, was also held.

The programme concluded with a Felicitation Ceremony, honouring esteemed guests and dignitaries for their valuable presence and contributions.

🌸 Desh Bhagat University Celebrates Teej with Grandeur & Traditional Fervour 🌸

Desh Bhagat University celebrated the vibrant festival of Teej with immense joy, enthusiasm and cultural fervour at the Shri Guru Hargobind Sahib Auditorium.

Organized by the Women Grievance Redressal Cell (WGRC) and Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) in collaboration with the Cultural Club, the celebration brought together students and faculty members in a colourful showcase of Punjab’s rich cultural heritage. 💃🌿

The celebrations were graced by Hon’ble Chancellor Dr. Zora Singh, Hon’ble Pro Chancellor Dr. Tajinder Kaur, Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Harsh Sadawarti, Vice President Prof. (Dr.) Parvinder Singh, and Pro Vice Chancellor (RDC) Prof. (Dr.) Gurdip S. Batra, along with other distinguished DBU dignitaries, Deans, Directors and HoDs.

The event featured traditional songs, folk dances, colourful traditional attire, swings, cultural performances, catwalk and modelling, creating a lively festive atmosphere. ✨🎶

A major highlight was the crowning of Miss Teej and Teej Queen, celebrating grace, confidence, beauty and the cultural spirit of Teej. The winners were felicitated by the Pro Chancellor and esteemed DBU dignitaries.

Addressing the gathering, the dignitaries emphasized the importance of preserving India’s glorious traditions and encouraging the younger generation to remain connected with its rich cultural heritage.

The colourful celebrations, melodious folk performances and vibrant participation made the occasion a memorable celebration of culture, happiness, unity and togetherness at DBU. 🌺🇮🇳
