# # Government Clarification Regarding OS-CIT Certificate

As per the clarification issued by the **Government of Odisha, Department of School & Mass Education**, dated **18/08/2026**:

✅ **OS-CIT (Odisha State Certificate in Information & Technology)** has been declared as a **certifying course for Basic Computer Proficiency**.

✅ The OS-CIT course is certified by **Odisha Knowledge Corporation Limited (OKCL)**.

✅ OS-CIT can be accepted as proof of **Basic Computer Knowledge** for recruitment conducted by the **State Government, PSUs, Government and Semi-Government Agencies**, wherever computer qualifications are prescribed, subject to the applicable recruitment rules.

📌 **In simple words:**
**OS-CIT is officially recognized as a certificate for Basic Computer Proficiency in applicable Odisha Government recruitment.**
