Yesterday a full-term buffalo, parturition overdue by two days and suffering from severe dystocia, was presented at the RPS Veterinary clinical complex. Clinical examination confirmed maternal dystocia caused by Uterine torsion.
The VCC team—comprising
Dr. Prashant, Dr. Abhijeet, Dr. Rajesh Pareek, Mr Ankit with BVSc & VLDD students promptly performed the rolling method to relieve the torsion, successfully followed by the manual delivery of a dead fetus.
Intensive supportive therapy, including intravenous fluids and necessary injectables, was administered. The dam safely expelled the placenta without retention.
