Handwriting Competition- 29th June 2024

KGES organised *CREATIVE WRITING COMPETITION* for Primary Section on *29th June 2024*.The objective of this competition was to encourage students to improve their writing skills and work presentation. *Handwriting is an essential skill for students*. It enables to develop fine motor skills and confidence. It activates the brain. Children show excellent creativity through their writing. The Motive behind this competition was to make the kids to write neatly and present the content in a legible way.

Student Council Election – 27th June 2024
'The Ballot is stronger than the Bullet-' Abraham Lincoln.

Student Council is a platform to inculcate interpersonal and leadership skills among the students by enabling them to play an active role in organizing and carrying out various school activities. A council serves as the voice for an entire student body and actively works towards promoting a better learning environment. June 27, 2024 marked the day for the students of the secondary section in the premises of KGES to be a part of the election process. Every student from Std 5-10 actively participated in the elections and casted their precious votes to the members who are devoted in maintaining the discipline of the school and enforcing the Code of Conduct. The election process paved a way not only for the candidates but also for the young minds aspiring to work for the betterment of school as well as for the society.

Yoga brings the body and mind together and is built on three main elements – movement, breathing and meditation. The significance of the day was well articulated coupled with befitting demonstration of yogasanas on *International Yoga Day* on 21st June 2024 , Friday, at *Kges Pre-Primary section* .The entire section was made aware of the valuable gift of this ancient tradition – Yoga which has many physical and mental health benefits including improved posture, flexibility, strength, balance and body awareness

International Yoga Day- 21st June 2024
YOGA IS THE ARTWORK OF AWARENESS ON THE CANVAS OF BODY, MIND AND SOUL.*

To spread the importance and awareness of yoga *KGES* celebrated *INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY* on *21st JUNE* 2024. Yoga is a part of the school curriculum and is practised on a regular basis. The day began with a meditation session for teachers and students which was conducted by PE teachers *Ms.Bhavika and Mr Dharamraj Yadav*. They explained the importance of yoga. Yoga brings the body and mind together and is built on three main elements – movement, breathing and meditation. Yoga has many physical and mental health benefits including improved posture, flexibility, strength, and balance and body awareness.

International Yoga Day- 21st June 2024
"Yoga is the artwork of awareness on the canvas of body, mind and soul."

International Yoga Day is observed every year on June 21st to raise awareness about the ancient practice of yoga and to celebrate the physical and spiritual prowess that yoga has brought to the world. The students of secondary section accompanied by the staff of KGES celebrated Yoga Day with full zest and joy. The event began with a brief introduction on Yoga Day by the sports co-ordinators Mrs. Bhavika and Sir Dharmaraj. Warm up exercises were taken and all the students performed sitting and standing asanas.
The celebration came to an end where the students and the faculty members were taught the significance of yoga in their life and how to maintain the harmony between body and mind.

1st Day at School- 13th June 2024

"TODAY IS YOUR FIRST DAY. YOUR MOUNTAIN IS WAITING."

It was a bright new beginning of another one creative year of the school. KGES organised a *Welcome back to School* activity for Primary section on *13th June 2024*. The activities were undertaken with a message by all the classes. Children were told to make the bookmarks and exchange with others. The day was filled with joy and happiness and ended with a motto of bringing out the creativity and enthusiasm in students.

A PARENT TEACHER MEETING (PTM) was held on 15th June 2024 for Primary Section at KGES. The main objective of this meeting was to elect one PTA member from every division for the smooth functioning of the academic year. The main role of Parent Teacher Association is to establish effective communication channels between educators and parents, providing a platform for mutual understanding and collaboration in the best interest of the student.

Orientation Meeting- 10th June 2024
The orientation program began with the thought:
"Teaching is more than imparting knowledge; it is inspiring change. Learning is more than absorbing facts, it is acquiring understanding"

On June 10, 2024, KGES organized an orientation program for the Primary Section. The event started with a briefing for parents about the school's rules and regulations. This was followed by the respective teachers providing an overview of the various subjects and activities planned for the upcoming academic year.

The teachers also discussed the co-scholastic activities, offering parents insights into a curriculum that emphasizes self-directed, hands-on learning. These activities not only enable students to fully harness their creative talents and energies but also contribute to their holistic development.

1st Day at School- 13th June 2024
Welcoming our young smarties back to school is such a delightful gesture. On 13th June 2024 our KGES Pre Primary Section re- joined school along with our tiny toddlers of nursery. Colourful activities were conducted to add to their enthusiasm.

An Orientation Meeting was held at Nathmal Garodia Hall on 11th June for the academic year 2024 - 25 for KGES Pre - Primary section, wherein the parents were invited and given a walk-through of the school processes. The meeting started with briefing the parents about the functioning of the school followed by our respected Principal Ma'am, extending her warm welcome to everyone .The teachers then introduced themselves and explained the various rules and regulations. The Orientation was aimed at giving an insight into the functionalities of the school. It was indeed an enriching seminar for the school and parents to connect and plan for the upcoming academic year.

Our Under 16 Boys Football team won the championship trophy in the Inter Academy football championship 2024.

Orientation Meeting- 10th June 2024
'Seize the opportunity of a fresh start, dare to embark on something new, embrace the journey of a new beginning because the best is yet to come'.
The orientation program for the parents of Std 5-9 was held on the 10th of June, 2024 at Nathmal Garodia Hall to induct parents about the functioning of the school for the academic year 2024-25. The programme commenced with the welcoming of parents followed by an in-depth discussion about the rules and regulations of the school. Ms. Niharika and Ms. Suchita conducted the orientation programme wherein the queries of the parents were addressed by the Principal and the faculty members followed by the introduction of Secondary Staff and their respective subjects.

Significance of punctuality, discipline and sincerity along with the trio of students, parents and teachers will work wonders were the points addressed by the Principal Ms. Mini Nayar to the parents.

The programme ended on an optimistic note highlighting the importance of co-operation.

Navbharat Saksharta Karaykram- 17th March 2024

As per the department of education a policy to literate the adults,*(Navbharat saksharta Abhiyan)* is a new step taken to make Bharat a complete literate country.
Today 17th March 2024 *KGES was a Centre & conducted the exam* for the illiterate parents as per the norms of the education department.

The program was completed as per the guidelines of the education department.

*Holi* was celebrated in an eco-friendly manner on 22/3/24 , Friday.Our teachers guided children through stories and information of this celebration with great deal of excitement and enthusiasm .Children indulged themselves happily in Art activity
