Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar was the 19th century polymath reformer from Bengal who became a powerful voice against women oppression in the state and also propagated widow remarriage. He was a revered figure in Bengal as he also played an important role in modernising and simplifying the Bengali alphabet by creating "Barnaparichay".
Yesterday We, R.K.N.B Academy, celebrate the 200th Birth Anniversary of Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar on our own way.

Teacher’s Day celebrations are a big affair in India. It is a matter of great pride for every student to acknowledge the role of their teachers in life. Every year, the Teacher’s Day is celebrated on September 5 on the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan.
Considered to be one of the greatest philosophers’ of the twentieth-century world has seen, Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan studied philosophy. He played a significant role in not only bridging the gap between a home school of thoughts with the Western ideologies but also defended Hinduism against ‘uniformed Western criticism’.
Once he said, “Instead of celebrating my birthday, it would be my proud privilege if 5 September is observed as Teachers’ Day.” when his students insisted on celebrating his birthday. For this reason, this 5th September is observed as Teachers Day.

Independence Day is the celebration of the freedom we, Indian, won from the British rule on August 15, 1947. On this day, India witnesses a huge celebration of independence with tricolor flag hoisting, parades and cultural functions across the country. Independence Day is one of the most significant days in Indian history that remarks the bravery of our freedom fighters. With buildings illuminated by the tricolor, people pay homage to our leaders and great fighters who fought and gave up their lives for India’s freedom “Our Freedom”.
Laid on the sacrifices of many freedom fighters and celebrated with much dedication, the Independence Day on 15th August, people express their happiness by flying kites, listening to patriotic songs and hoisting the national flag.
