✨ Inspiring Young Minds to Protect the Planet ✨

Sri Aurobindo Mira Group of Educational Institutions, in collaboration with Isha Foundation, celebrated World Environment Day 2026 with great enthusiasm and grandeur. The celebrations followed a series of inter-school competitions conducted on various environmental themes, encouraging students to showcase their awareness and commitment towards environmental conservation.

The event was graced by Mr. Karunagaran, Revenue Divisional Officer (RDO), Madurai, Honourable MLA Mr. Gopison, Madurai South Constituency, and Er. M.C. Abilash, Managing Director, Sri Aurobindo Mira Group of Educational Institutions. Swami Akampitha and Mr. Rajarathinam from Isha Foundation were also present.

🎶 The programme commenced with an Invocation Song, followed by a Floral Tribute, Tamil Thai Vazhthu, and a warm Welcome Address by the Principal. This was followed by a special 🎥 video presentation highlighting Isha Foundation's environmental initiatives, including the renowned Cauvery Calling Movement and other projects spearheaded by Sadhguru.

🌾 A special highlight of the event was the felicitation of farmers, honouring their invaluable contribution towards environmental sustainability and food security.

🎤 Students delivered inspiring speeches emphasizing the significance of World Environment Day and the collective responsibility of protecting nature. The winners of the environmental competitions conducted across all institutions of the group were honoured with Certificates 📜, Saplings 🌱, and Gifts 🎁 sponsored by Isha Foundation.

🕉️ Addressing the gathering, Swami Akampitha stressed the importance of maintaining soil health and ecological balance. He elaborated on Isha Foundation's environmental initiatives and encouraged students to spread awareness among their families and communities.
