Annual Sports Day 2019
We welcomed our chief guest Mr.P.S.Ramakrishnan, Superintendent of Police., NIB CID., with great zeal and enthusiasm by our school band. The chief guest delivered a speech emphasizing the importance of sports in child’s life. The students displayed various events like Yoga, Mass drill, Lazzim, Pyramid, Saree dance and road safety awareness dance with energetic enthusiasm. Atheletics events were conducted amongst the cheering tones of encouragement by the audience. Fun games were conducted for staff and the parents. The prizes were distributed. The day came to an end by awarding the overall championship to Red house.

Science Exhibition
Science exhibition was held in Nehru Vidhyasalai Hr.Sec.School on 06.09.2019. (Friday) The chief guest, Mr.M.Rajesh professor of P.G & Research, Department of zoology, American college inaugurated the exhibition. Hundreds of students and teachers exhibited their innovative models. The chief guest, and the Principal of Basinger Gardens Matric School, Dr.Shyla Immanuel selected the best three exhibits of the students and teachers.

29.8.19 அன்று நடந்த 'C' குறுவட்ட அளவிலான தடகளப் போட்டியில் நேரு வித்தியாசாலை மேனிலைப் பள்ளியின் மாணவர்கள் பிரிவில் சாம்பியன் பட்டத்தையும், தனிநபர் U.14 வயதுக்குட்பட்டோர் பிரிவில் V.SRIDHAR சாம்பியன் பட்டத்தையும் பெற்று எம் பள்ளிக்கு வெற்றி வாகை சூட்டியுள்ளனர். வெற்றி பெற்ற மாணவ மாணவியருக்கு பள்ளி, தாளாளர் நிர்வாகிகள், தலைமையாசிரியை மற்றும் ஆசிரியர்கள் வாழ்த்துக்கள் தெரிவித்துள்ளனர்

Postal training and quiz programme
Postal training and quiz programme was organized by the postal department. Our students won many prizes. Congratulations, you have added one more feather to the cap.

Independence Day - 2019
Our school celebrated the Independence Day with great enthusiasm and pride on August 15th 2019. Mr.Jayachandran was the chief guest and hoisted the flag.
The students performed enthusiastically in different cultural events.

“Water Conservation awareness programme “
The students generated awareness to save water among their schoolmates though various programmes like songs debate and speech by Mrs. Abirami sundari. About 130 students of XI std participated in the rally and marched with slogans. Various competitions like Essay writing, Speech, Poem writing and Drawing were conducted and winners were selected.

Dr.A.P.J.Abdul Kalam
Remembering the former President Dr.A.P.J.Abdul Kalam on his death anniversary, we assembled the students and headmistress Mrs.Punitha gave on inspirational speech about the Missile man.

Kamarajar BirthDay
Kamarajar birthday was celebrated on 15.07.2019 with great enthusiasm and respect .The function started at 9am with prayer. Our school pupil leader Mohamed Yasir welcomed the gathering. Our Headmistress Mrs.Punitha gave an inspiring and motivating speech. The students presented colourful cultural programmes and speeches. The programmes concluded with vote of thanks.

Induction ceremony
Induction ceremony was held in our school on 04.07.19 (Thursday). School Pupil Leader, Asst. School Pupil Leader, class leaders, Assistant Leaders and various Ministers were introduced and honoured. The incharge Headmistress Mrs.Punitha lead the students in prayer and delivered the message on Leadership quality.

International Drug Abuse and Illicit trafficking Day

International Drug Abuse and Illicit trafficking Day was celebrated on 26.06.19 (Wednesday) Mrs. Anita Malathy gave a speech on the effects and causes of using drugs.
Our students participated in slogan writing and essay writing competitions on Drug Abuse.
O.Ashwin of XI 'F' won II Prize in slogan writing and Vignesh of IX A2 got prize for Essay writing competition. Kudos to our children who received the awards from the commissioner of police, Madurai.

Talent search competition - 2019
In order to identify the innate potentiality of every student. The talent search competition was conducted on 15.06.2019 (Saturday). Various competitions like Elocution , Essay writing, Poem Writing, Drawing, Solo singing, Dance Rangoli, Playing musical instrument and flower arrangement were conducted. The students participated in the competitions actively.
